Is it just me or does anybody else hate when you can't get certain DLC items because you didn't buy the game at a certain time or buy a certain type (eg collectors)? One day a game developer will make those "special limited" DLCs purchasable anytime (but those who bought whatever at a certain time get the dlcs at discount and whatever art/cd crap) and make some money.

EDIT: Btw, I'll never buy that crap dead space game but I would buy the in game armor DLC...hint ****en hint bioware...make some coin.

The thing is apart from The Exiled Prince and The Black Emporium, we all have already bought every single one of these DLCs/Unlockables as they are sitting happily on the disc just waiting for a file to be altered on your harddrive.

That is how the pirates have unlocked everything already, including the unreleased facebook items.

I think Bioware went a way overboard with all unlockable items. Half the threads in the support forums are about this subject. I've been lucky and all my unlockables are working. I hope for future game releases, Bioware cuts it down to 2 or3 items.

I see "Amulet of Ashes" on my "Your registered content" link here.

One of the steps says

Verify the content appears in the Unlockables screen by selecting Extras on the Main Menu, then Unlockables.

It's not there even though it's on the link.

Then it says

The items will appear in a chest in your house. Follow the instructions in the game journal.

it's not there either !!

Are this instructions misleading for those of you who have it?

In fact, only the signature's reward, Antivan Garrote, and Ring of Whisper are not inside the game. You must download it from Your Registered Game Content, which means that the signature's reward, Antivan Garrote, and Ring of Whisper are not inside the game though they will still show up on "UNLOCK".

The issue I have with this is if I lost my internet for what ever reason I won't have access to my characters with these items or these items since they don't download to the hard drive. Kind of lame ... That should get fixed

I've bought the signature edition, got most of the items, just not the ones you listed. The Garrote and Ring don't show up in my game. Are they for PC? I have a Xbox copy.

Antivan Garrote, and Ring of Whisper are not included in Signature's Edition's reward. Antivan Garrote, and Ring of Whisper are two different DLCs which you can acquire by purchasing things in Bioware shop and Epic Weapon(or Razor).

I was curious what some of the pre-order bonuses were going for on ebay and found an auction that has The Irons belt, fadeshear sword and lion shield with 14 bids and currently at $102.50 and it doesn't even come with the game! I kind of wish I had pre-ordered a few copies from EA.

Not sure I follow.  Once you have these in the game you don't need to be online.

Not so.  I know this was not the case for some DAO players - but that's actually a very elusive bug tied to the updater service we used for DAO, the system was designed to allow you to play offline after the first authorization.

While the service worked for the majority, there were still issues for some players where it would not start automatically, or install correctly, etc.  That is what actually created the majority of DLC authorization or having to be logged in issues with DAO.  Also, the service being a separate system it also created confusion at times where you could login (1 system) but not authorize (other system).

In any case, for DA2 we don't use the updater service that we had with DAO anymore. 

DA2 is simply tied to the game login.  If you can login to do the single dlc authorization, it works. And like the game itself, you can logout after that if you want.

All the other bonus items I found and got from Gamlen's House except for the tomes. Lookng at the Journal codex the items were described clearly. But so far I have not found them in my inventory, in Gamlen's house, not even in the Emporium. Please let me know what I should do to fix this.

These should appear in the house - there are actually 2 chests where items may appear.  Both are in the same room however, and by default you should see the loot sparkle effect over the chest (unless this option is turned off).

Have you logged into the game once, since getting the tomes?
If you exit the house and come back in does that make them appear?

A small thing I'd like to address. For some reason, the Signature Edition item codex entries are listed under "Lore"; shouldn't it actually be under "Items"? It's a nitpicky thing, but I thought I'd bring it up.

alright, so, i double checked my info, and it does match, i actually had to contact ea support cuz of a snafu there, apparently had my gamertag linked to an ea account i dont use, and now it shows my gamertag both on my ea account page, and when i check my profile, i checked my entitlement page, and it says that i have the 3 tomes, signature edition rewards, boots of frozen wastes, evra's might and trophy belt, ivo's family crest, air of confidence, staff of parlathan and hindsight.

of all of those items, the only items that show up on my unlockables page not opaque(which i assume means not unlocked) are the blood dragon armor, lothering's lament and the far cliff's of kirkwall.

when i went into gamlens house, it showed 3 tomes in the special deliveries box, and the blood dragon armor, after taking them, i saved and turned my console off, that was yesterday night. i have not yet bothered leaving and re-entering the house, because for some reason, i am unable to connect to the dragon age servers.

Yes, you'll need to have the same gamertag & ea account matching in the game main menu and on your entitlements page here on the site - that shows the console game is correct linked to the account (and your items).

I'm not clear on your last statement though - does this mean you do now have all the items, or are you still missing items?  And you should not need to log back in to the servers to play (assuming you do have all the items).

Its a symbol on the map you travel to like any other in kirkwall faylon.

My question is, is it possible to get back some of these items after selling them? Doesnt seem to stay in the buyback slot after you restart the game.
