From what I've been reading there is NO auto-attack option in Console DA2?

I am seriously mad right now. I can honestly say I have never been more disappointed by any video game than I am right now. I've been a BioWare fan since Baldur's Gate, and I almost feel betrayed. And as someone else already pointed out, I have already opened my copy and now I'm stuck with a game I don't want to play. Thanks, guys.

Oh they are here. The backlog of reading if you miss a day is enough to put you in a padded room. I've been a mod for huge sites and it is a full time job keeping up with posts on threads, farming data for analysis/reports. We wish they would say something, but if they can't be specific (which by all posts on most threads re:bugs). So in that case they won't post other than redirection/stop inappropriate posts.
I will repeat from an earlier post of mine regarding playing the game now while waiting. For those with CTS or other hand/wrist problems/other that need/want AA for their style.
You can play the game and have a great time. Go casual, choose rogue/archer for first run without AA. You can actually play without doing any combat yourself, the team can handle it. Or occasionally fire off a shot, which is what I do. I protect the mage. You won't get the "in combat" feel but you will learn the overall game mechanics (UI, quests, maps, etc) There is a lot to the game other than combat.
When the patch is done you can roll a new char and you will be good to go and know which dialog choices you would like to do differently, know combat areas you would like to strategically do differently, etc. Although with a rogue/archer you do have to play a rogue for the first part, it is short and I just played Bethany instead
And the above is for those that are keeping the game but waiting to play it after the patch. Hope this helps, hate to think of people holding back when you can be exploring, etc.

You probably have grounds to return it if you want because it's not as it was supposed to be when you bought the game.

Or just play the game. Slow and causious, so your 3 party members do all the combat. Not the scenario you wanted but combat is a small part to the bigger whole. I remember playing Diablo. Hardcore, which means if your char dies it is game over, start with a new char. I got each class to lvl 99. Not easy. I do the same with all games I play, my char dies and I delete and start over. You have to think, you can't rush around putting yourself in a bad situation. I think my char is lvl 10 or so now, hasn't died and no one in the party has either. I am having a great time with all the non combat content. And when in combat the 3 do very well with my tactics.
I know there is a mix of high and low reviews on the graphics but no one has mentioned textures.
Huge high five and barrel of cookies to the art department. You did an amazing job on the textures and sizing them in game. So much nicer than stretching them the way it was done in DAO. And I understand why. Textures play a role in load times and fps, more than most realize. Outstanding job.

Could someone that actually OWNS a real legit retail copy confirm if 360 have auto attack or not?
No auto-attack. it IS mindless button mashing.
Which is....different, but not in a good way. It seems they solved the shuffling issue by just having us mash buttons constantly. <_<

Dungeon Siege 3 I think.
As for playing on a casual difficulty as a solution... that's not gonna fix my issue with this. I was looking forward to playing this on at least hard, so it's going to severely hamper my enjoyment of the game. This was one of my most anticipated games of the year, and now I don't really care that it'll be here soon because it won't be the experience I've been waiting for. I'm just so disappointed right now.

There is another RPG coming and this may be why they rushed it out. Its very much like Dragon Age , its DS3
Coincidentaly I was just looking at it on Amazon. Obsidian and SquareEnix , good combo.
I thought it might have been Witcher related.

It get's even worse. ala ME2 you cannot change the Armour or appearance of your companions. Basically they stripped all or most of the RPG elements that Hard-core RPG'ers enjoy and want. I'm utterly and completely disappointed in DA2. My faith in Bioware which was cracked with ME2 being stripped of most if not all of the RPG elements that made the first one great. Has been completely shattered with DA2.untoldsarcasm wrote...

Also felt that company published an unfinished game thinking only of getting the cash since they were going under.
Bioware are going to follow, by following EA's way of treating gamers.
They may of got the cash for the game but less will be getting DLC or advising friends on and offline to buy it.

Bethesda? I mean, I know that Oblivion had its fair share of faults, but I'm still throwing hours into that game, and Skyrim looks to be just as time-consuming.

Good combo? When has Obsidian ever released a game that was up to snuff? Every game they've EVER created has been very lacking in a good ending. They continually release lackluster games without any polish whatsoever.
Obsidian is dead to me after the New Vegas release, and Bioware is becoming just like them. It appears that neither development house has anyone competant in the QA department.

KOTOR 2 was the best star wars game ever made, it's not Obsidian's fault that Lucas Arts wouldn't let them finish it.
