From what I've been reading there is NO auto-attack option in Console DA2?

When I used to do service work (residential/commercial but mainly commercial) all work I did was warrantied for 30 days after time of service. I was a PURE COMMISION employee (meaning I only got paid if the clients paid). If the clinet had a problem with my work or had to have me back to address the same problem my return service was FREE OF CHARGE. Meaning I literally worked entirely for free on return calls if I didn't get it right the first time.
If I was in Bioware's situation I would be on these boards communicating with my customers in a frank and open manner and the fact they aren't is just upsetting and sad.

At this point I think you could say that there is absolutely no commitment to fixing this quickly or efficiently. For anyone curious, Mike Laidlaw himself said directly in an X-Play preview that auto attack was in for consoles.
I just don't understand lol. This probably is some kind of collosal error but it just seems they have handled it pooorly. Also patch is taking WAY too long for something that apparently was already working.
MS gives developers one free Title Update ... perhaps EA decided that Bioware shall only release one update for the consoles? (that dosn't really make sense either I know ...) I have no idea what's going on I just know that I would have handled this differently.

I don't think pointing fingers and yelling "liar!" is going to make that patch show up any sooner.

The Awesome factor would go down significantly .
1 button push = Awesome.
10,000 = Super Awesome , you are getting full value.
Why Change it.

Someone for Bioware did chime in and explained why the auto-attack feature was not included in the console version of DA2 and that there were working on a fix.

well I doubt it will show up any later, the fact that it's taken this long and there has been limited response regarding game breaking bugs like the thumbs up glitch are very disturbing. Been through this with Fallout NV pretty pathetic if Bioware pulls the same stunt. An update on the patch should at the very least have happened by now.

And I must say that anyone wanting a nice open world rpg to play, give TW2 a try while waiting on patches here. There are also console commands on the web for adjusting graphics, etc on all platforms. But if you do, you still have to come here and bump this thread

True that Chris did come here and say the feature didn't make it on the master production disc because of a mistake. But that means it is done, where is it? But then the second comment you made has to do with a comment Mike made in an interview not long ago that said that yes the feature was definately in the game and on the disc. The icon on the wheel was just invisible, so they are working on a patch.

It's been two weeks and most of us have already completed the game while killing our thumbs. And considering how this product offers little to no replay value, there's no excuse.
I dont understand how anyone could think that this is acceptable.

Well that is the general consensus. We don't and they do. I think most have completed the game by now, I have. Replay is zip as far as I'm concerned. I just come here now because I am a Bioware fan pre DA2 and want to add my 2 coppers in fan support. Not sure if it is patched if I'll even play it again. It is one of those games "been there, done that, toss it in the box".
