As of 8/03/2011, my pre-order has been re-instated =). If anyone else has had their pre-order rejected (particularly if, like me, you ordered the Signature Edition) then please give GAME a call on 0871 200 1221 and ask them to re-instate your order!  They can do this with approval from their supervisor and have done so for me.

They also said they were having a large volume of queries, so you are definitely not alone! 

Thanks to everyone in this thread for being totally awesome and sharing in my hour (or two or three or etc) of distress and fret about not getting my game! =) You're all legendary!  <3

I don't know how things work on this forum, but please don't chase me off for treating the  forum like a "blog"; I really need some responses from fellow pre-orderer's in the  UK.

I've just been told by GAME that my pre-order (of the Dragon Age 2  Signature Edition) has been rejected due to payment issues. I've used the card on their site previously and I know my account is in credit, so there is absolutely no reason for the payment to have  been rejected. I even checked with my bank and was told no invoice had been made by GAME.

Are any others having a problem with their GAME pre order?  =(

Needless to say, at this moment in time I absolutely fraught with sadness that after months (and I do mean months) of waiting my pre order of 15 October 2010 is currently 'cancelled' through no fault of my own.

Sounds like another way of saying "We f**ked up your order, but we'll try to blame it on you instead".

GAME is appearing very frequently on these forums, and not for the reasons it would like,

Yeah, they're becoming worse and worse as a company... I made my pre order as soon as the Signature Edition appeared on their site (well as soon as I saw it, mid October last year) so I'm really concerned as they've had all that time to secure my order (but clearly not!!)

Absolutely gutted right now. :(

My card authorised fine with GAME so no problem here.

Are you sure the card hasn't expired? My normal card was due to expire the 1st March so i had to use a different one.

I double checked this - it's a card I've used previously on their site with no problems and is due to expire in a good two years time (2013) so it can't be the expiry date.

Well I don't know what to tell you... You'll almost certainly get the game late, now, but there may still be achance to get your signature edition, which is all that really matters, right ? Get in touch with customer support and explain the situation.

Yeah the main thing for me is getting the Signature Edition, it would have been nice to get it for release but if GAME reinstate my order that will be enough for me.

Mine was waiting for authorisation and then suddenly my card was rejected... =(

Just checked and same has happened to me - card is fine and more than sufficient funds. I ordered too late for the Signature Ed anyway so have just tried re-ordering. So not happy!

I had my card rejected once. I called them and they told me why. Apparently I'd entered the 3 digit code on the back wrong.

Might want to phone them. There was no problem after that and I've ordered quite a bit from them, though not for the past year. So, I guess things could have changed.

It'll be interesting to see if re-ordering works for you, Petr0nella, or if they reject it again.

this happened to me as well i tried to phone them up but got told to phone up tomorrow so i suppose i'll find out whether i will actually get the signature edition tomorrow

If you can't get the game btw, you can buy the standard ps3 edition for £36.85 or so from Shopto. That's the best price I've found and you should get it on release day, if not Thursday.

I'd like to say the exact same thing happened to me. I'm clearly in credit, and the card used has not expired. I think this might be a supply issue, given most retailers give you time to correct the issue if the problem is with a card. I am extremely disappointed, and will be harassing them as much as possible between now and Friday.

This is the thing with ordering online. Sometimes it doesn't work. I pre-ordered with Game, but did so in store. That way I can see that everything is fine with my order. But back to your problem, I think it may have been something to do with some sort of mishap Game had because when I first went to pre-order, they told me I couldn't because something was wrong with their systems or something. I can't remember the details but this was around November time I believe.

I am sorry to hear the same thing has happened to others, will definitely be hounding game for answers! I placed my order early so stock procurement should not be an issue, I am also annoyed by the poor communication on GAMEs part as they sent the email at 6:30pm, so I was unable to speak to them today. I will be getting answers tomorrow for sure!

You won't get it late. Long as you sort this mess out and they can post it before release date your fine.

Mine went through fine. :)

I've contacted GAME via email, but I'll try phoning them if I get no response.

If anyone with the same problem could post any updates, as and when they get them, it'd be greatly appreciated. Oh, and like Drakeling said, thanks to everyone for being awesome. (:

Same thing happened to me a few years ago with game when I pre-ordered a special edition of Halo 3.

Ended up giving their customer service a call and they told me that they hadn't  authorised my card so I'd get in contact with them as they hadn't recieved enough to fufill all the pre-orders.Image IPB

Maybe it's happened again? (or I'm just to paranoid).

Hope you get it sorted.

I'm nervous.
Although they DID send me this email -

"I am delighted to let you know that your Preorder for Dragon Age 2
Bioware Signature Edition is now being processed subject to successful
payment being taken from your credit card when it is dispatched. The
order will be despatched by your chosen delivery method in time to
reach you for the day of release."

Not to be a downer, but that was the email I got an hour before they sent me another email telling me that there was a problem so... y'know. But fingers crossed it works out for you. Not everyone has had this issue so you'll probably be one of the lucky ones.
