Did you guys use the respec potion to get rid of Pommel Strike?Naitaka wrote...
I'd like to know that as well, so far I've only found 2 tomes and the potion at the Emporium, where are you getting your 4th extra talent point from?
Anyway, I'm trying this build (or something like it, since everyone makes their own little changes), and I'm finding it quite fun, challenging, and doable.
One thing I'm having trouble with is keeping my ranged alive. With the new combat system, where you often start combat surrounded and with enemies spread all over, I find it hard to gather them all on my warrior without killing everyone in the process (I wiped my entire party with a Scythe once). And then, adds often spawn in the middle of the fight (usually right next to your ranged).. when this happens, I'm usually able to finish the fight with only Hawke, but still I'd like to keep people alive a bit longer

Greater Tome of the Mortal Vessel (2 attribute points) Special Deliveries Box (free with Signature Edition)
Maker's Sigh (respec) Emporium's Relics and Antiques (1g 34s 75c)
Where are the other 2 Tomes?

There's another Tome of Technique Dalish camp and a tome of Mortal Vessel from the Trinket Stall in Lowtown once you reach act 2, I've no idea where the guy's getting his 4th talent point from though.

why did you take out the attributes for everyone?
Attributes are still there, I just dont list numbers for them. I will add to those section later, but attributes are pretty easy to do. Vanguard wants strength and con, nothing else except the willpower on the levels I recommend.
For the companions, you want to keep the 2 or 3 attributes I suggest fairly even.

What exactly does this do?Enemy > staggered then go to next tactic
Enemy > highest health then use crushing prison
Does the game actually look for the highest health target that is staggered? In Origins something like this would just go to the highest health target, regardless of if they were staggered or not.
I havent put this tactics to use yet, as I just hit level 10 and hopefully unlocked some extra tactics slots. The tactic ive been using is just the bottom one. About to see if it works.

im getting rocked on the mature dragon and the offense mage is killing herself with those tactics
Don't fight the mature dragon until you have claymore, which opens up cross class combos (stagger into paralyzing prison and chain lightning). So wait until level 10. I will post a video of me fighting the dragon in a second.

I dont know what you guys are talking about? There is 1 tome and 1 elixer in act 1, and 1 tome in act 2. There is also the respec potion (makers sigh) which lets you remove pommel strike. Thats how I put down 4 extra talents.
Where do you get the elixir in act 1?

- Use the potion
- Immediately save without using any Ability Points
- Reload the save file
- The game will have issued you a default skill (Gave me Giant's Reach for my warrior and Fireball on my mage)
- You will notice you will have 5 Ability Points still at Lvl 5 but essentially you got a free skill
(This was tested and found on the PS3, unsure if it works on Xbox 360 or PC)
