I downloaded the beta but hoping someone can "help a brotha out" with the link to the 267.28 driver revision.

I tried the demo with a GTX580 and it sucked hard. The DX11 renderer was bugged and it looked significantly worse than running on ATI hardware. That's probably part of the problem.

Also this game doesn't seem to support multi-card very well. The cutscenes had stutter at even intervals with crossfire enabled. But reducing it to single card slows the game in certain areas. A single 6970 isn't enough to max out the game at 1080p. Crossfire's framerate is a bit better but feels a bit laggy, almost like the framerate counter is lying.

The game was supposed to be written with ATI hardware in mind IIRC...not that it's doing much better.

When guys were calling me a liar in the Steam forum cuz my single HD 6850 was running the demo better than their Nvidia GTX's I noticed one thing. The only people complaining of poor dx11 performance were Nvidia card owners. I bet there is something with the driver that needs to be addressed.

That's actually one of the reasons I returned my Nvidia GTX580 and went with ATI 6970s...the demo looked terrible on with the GTX580.

No worries...the Beta driver works fine...I am staring at it now.

I went there just for kicks (I have an ATI card). There aren't any .28 drivers, but there's a .31 driver. I imagine that's the one people should download.

267.28 is now 267.31 I think.

They are only 5 series.

Some of us have 4 series. 4 Series not have a problem?

I went there just for kicks (I have an ATI card). There aren't any .28 drivers, but there's a .31 driver. I imagine that's the one people should download.

Dunno this is what 267.31 is:
"This driver is identical to v267.24 except for a single bug fix for using GeForce GTX 580 with multiple monitors."

So as far as I can tell there is no difference. :/ Still only 267.24 beta showing up for me.

267.31 isn't the "special" DA2 driver. 267.31 is for 580s only, and are the exact same as the 267.24s, except for a single bug fix relating to multiple monitors. Nothing to do with DA2. No mention of 267.28s anywhere. I'm beginning to think the 267.24 and 267.26 drivers (267.26 being for 560ti exclusively) are all we are getting for the moment.

Though when reading the release notes "Improves compatibility with Dragon Age II". its only related to Windows 7 x86 systems, corrupted landscape textures.

There is a v267.24, for everybody running anything but the 5xx series..

Has anyone checked what they have running in background on their system??? 'End' any processes that you don't need running...

Ok lets get this straight:
267.31 - GTX 580 ONLY
267.26 - 560 TI ONLY
267.24 - For EVERYTHING
267.28 - Replaced, was a GTX 580 ONLY, but where replaced by 267.31

And as i stated erlier 267.24 don't do anything about DA2 performance.

Aah, one good thing about getting a later unlock date in Europe is that others can do the testing for us. By the time I'll get to play I'm sure nvidia will have released proper drivers

@ OHM_LO: exactly. So, if there is a new beta driver enhancing DA2 performance, we are still waiting for it. Fingers crossed, we'll see a new set with genuine improvements soon.

Nvidia don't release new stuff for no one..

In all seriousness though, best bet for working SLI profiles or such is EVGA SLI Enhancement Patches. Will probably take a couple of weeks before nvidia releases anything.. They very rarely drops new graphic drivers for game updates..

I am a bit curious as to how ATI cards are running, seeing as ATI is directly commercializing DA2 on it's website. Since I can't access the game for another 5 1/2 hours, anyone been running it on ATI?

Pfft.... Unneccesary!  I upgrade my PC so I can push through problems such as having 3 games + 40 windows open causing FPS problems! ;p

Well hopefully the .24s work well on DA2 with a single GTX 480, which is the card I have.  If not I guess I will use DX9 settings until they release a new driver.

Why is it graphics drivers are optimized to increase game performance rather than the game being modified to work better with the graphics drivers?
