Any ideas how to install it under Mac OS?

There is a 'more info - Mac' option that should appear on the page that lists all your unlocks (http://social.biowar...ntitlements.php). Given the web server's current heavy load.. you might have to refresh the page a few times before it shows up. Obviously, this is assuming you already entered your promo code to unlock it.

I have the Black Emporium installed on my mac... But I don't see it popping up in my in-game journal. :( How else can I find it?

Still nothing on my end. I have it installed with no errors. But it still won't appear in-game. Do I need to progress even further?

First, you need a home. That would mean doing the whole year of work that Hawke must do in order to get inside the city. Once inside the city, you can go to your uncles home and access your mail. It's at this stage that you should be able to receive a letter from the Black Emporium and accept a quest to go underneath the city. Once inside, you should be all set.

Also, the Mabari Warhound will automatically be put into your spell book once you enter the Black Emporium. Be sure to check back there every once in a while for restock of items.

And be thankful that this game doesn't include a Smell-O-Rama. You'll know what I mean when you read up on the man who runs the Black Emporium.

I have all my other DLC bonus items and stuff already. Got them from the Special Delivery box in Gamlen's place. But I didn't get any message for the Black Emporium. Did I install it wrong or something? :(

Sorry I mean does it show up under Downloadable Content? I'm wondering if perhaps you should reinstall it.

I had to 1) download it from this website, 2) install it and once I did that it shows up under downloadable content (together with sebastian that I have bought). I also think you need to be logged in the first time you relaunch after install to get it certified.

I haven't had time to play the game just install it.

When you installed it... what path did it install to, and, did you install DA2 itself into the default path, or did you change it to another spot?

On my install, Black Emporium went into ~/Documents/BioWare/Dragon Age 2/addins and is a folder labeled da2_prc_one

I got same problem. My guess is that it's a Mac issue. Installed it fine but it doesn't show up under add-ons section or ingame.

Alright I solved the problem, maybe the solution will work for you too. Apparently the installer created the addins folder under a new user. This appears to be a bug. I found the addins folder using spotlight and then moved it into the bioware folder in my documents folder under the original user. Now the dlc should appear ingame.

weird... just out of curiosity.. is your user an admin? or is the other user the folder was created under the admin?

So, mine shows up in the list of DLC (the only one at the moment). Just to be sure, I checked the addins folder, and its in the proper location, with the black emporium file showing up just fine.

However, I've yet to get a letter. I installed the DLC during my 'first' year (when living in the slums), though after the game began, and am now living in the mansion, but never have gotten the letter.

Are you able to go visit the emporium, even without the letter?

I didn't even find the letter until after I visited the Emporium.

yeah you can enter the emporium without seeing the letter which is strange but ok. I clicked it by mistake.

It's a cool area, gives that old BG feel with liches and bad wishes :-) Hope there are some sub plots there as well!
