 I've ran a search to see if this has been mentioned anywhere else but so far nothing. I hope I'm not adding to the clutter around here but here goes.

I can't place placeables in my rooms or areas. By this I mean that when I select objects from the resource palette and when I have the room selected I can place models easily and freely. However, when I select placeables from the palette I left click on where I want them to be and nothing happens, they never show up. No record or error message is coming up in the log window. I tried making my own placeable and placing that, but to no avail. I have tried placing them while they were checked in as well as checked out. Can anyone guess what I'm doing wrong here? 

Another symptom of this problem is that when I select models and move my cursor into the render window, I can see a preview of what I'm about to put down. This is not the case with any of the placeables. In fact, if I have had a model selected before, the model's preview still follows my cursor around, even though the placeable is selected.

First are these placeables being placed through the area editor or the level editor? I think you can only work with placeables in the area editor so if you created a level you need to bring it into the area editor using the area layout field in the object window. I have some videos on how to bring placeables into your module just check out my signature to find them.

Yeah, placeables only work in the Area Editor, not the Level Editor. You need to convert your level to an area and open it as an area before you can place placeables.

I'm having the same problem in area editor.

When I select a placeable in the palette window and try to drag it into the room, then it wont go in. I just get the same sign as if I try to place a placeable in the level editor...



What am I doing wrong?



Please help...
