Also getting white squares on part of the map. This wasn't happening earlier, and I'm using the same hak file... This is for the Mirkwood hak.

Just for creatures I believe. Also I changed the hak order, didn't fix it. Perhaps I'm doing it wrong.

Have you added any haks or added to any haks in your mod since adding that tileset?

Is this only happening in game, or is it also when you are in the toolset?

Try adding that particular tileset to a new empty mod and create a few areas with it. Are you seeing the same issue?

I occasionally experience this with Worm's Seasonal Forest. Parts of the map, usually where a particular "thicket" tile is placed, show up as bright white. To remedy the situation I have to spend a few minutes in the toolset using the "eraser" terrain tool to cycle through various alternative thicket tiles until I get one that shows up on the map correctly.

Seasonal Forest has its quirks. Blocky modelling, blurry or stretched textures, dodgy lighting on a few of the more impressive terrain features... but its gorgeous nevertheless, and I'm not about to give up using it.

Both

Thanks for the help. I ended up just removing the mirkwood hak and staying with the other seasonal work. *shrug* It's a huge file just to use it for bloody swamps. Didn't really realize until I started digging around in it, that it seems to repeat much of what is in the other seasonal expansion haks.

Ya i sometimes get issues with haks not likeing each other. You just have to figure out whats fighting it.Somethings probally taking up a line of code its useing if thats how it works.I think the mountains hak is likely causeing it try those 2 in the same mod.If i remmber correctly i couldnt use thtat one because some tiles didnt show in mountain.

i use mirkwood and have had no issues with it, if you d/l'd his newest version straigh from low's vault page its understandable why you get the white blocks... It was left largely unfinished, so im surprised you even could donload it...
i have an older version of mirkwood and i believe the community demanded for it so its on the vaullt....

here:
nwvault.ign.com/View.php

maybe thatll help you out  :3

I feel like a jerk for just now seeing this..
I havent lurked the CC forums that often as now i am learning heavily into scripting, etc
I hadnt realized I was missing textures in that tileset hak? of course I dont really use that one as it was one of my first attempts at tilesets and as such had some issues from the very beginning (not that my newer ones are any less buggy..lol)
I really am almost at the point where I may upload my 'vault' of unfinished work/tilesets/creatures much like CODI did since I may never get to these to fix them and it seems such a waste to let it goto waste.

I think *mind you its just a almost forgotten thought* that in order to use the new mirkwood you had to have seasonal forest in there as well as I had 'imaged' it from that SF build and I vaguley remeber saying "oh crap, I have some old SF textures in there that need to be renamed"

so move that mirkwood BELOW seasonal forest hak and see if you still have the white issues..

and also as a note, in order to really use any of SENS add on for seasonal forest you would need to place that ABOVE the seasonal forest hak.
just FYI

Thanks for the info, Worms. I was recently looking into using Mirkwood.

If you don't use this tileset yourself, do you have a more mature version of it that you use in Arbor Falls? Or are you strictly using Seasonal Forest?

strictly I am using just seasonal forest with the mirkwood trees placeables (i just cycle SF tiles to ones without 'trees' and I uses lighting and fog to create a similar effect.

the mirkwood while still my favorite looking uses aaaallllooot of polygons,etc...so is kind of bulky for any PW use (mainly its for single player mods)

Thanks LoW! Yes, that's why we choose to drop it and go with seasonal alone, bulky for a PW and seasonal still offers a lot of good content.

And please do upload new vault content *rubs hands together*

Yes, LoW, I appreciate all the content you've put up there so far. AND your arbor falls page was a good jumping off place to find more great content by other artists.

Does anyone know what order to place LoW's travel tileset so it doen't conflict with CEP?

Microset tileset is all messed up.. there's wagons all over it on different hights, or if you change the hak order.. it makes the toolset crash altogether. Also, can't place down any of the real tileset models.

I dont know enough about CEP to be any real help here, but my travel tileset IS the microtileset, meaning it replaces it completely.
its only a single tile meant to be placed alone in a small say 2x2 empty area. the different 'variations' are just different interiors, so if you made a huge map you would see many spinning wagon circles everywhere.
how CEP use microset? I cannot say.

Thanks, will try it with a smaller map, I was picking the generic size for testing.
