i just dont get it, maybe someone can explain it to me, whats the point of loot then if you cant really equip your party with it? im not that deep into the game but I already have a few upgrade for my companions and simply cant upgrade their gear? Whats the point of warrior plate if im playing a mage and i cant give it to my warrior? Just to sell it?

Yea, I know it just doenst make sense. Bioware did the same with the outfits for ME2's companions and thats why enemies don't drop loot like they did in ME1, cause it would be pointless. Seems like Bioware didnt know wtf to do and just chose the easy money making route in the end.

Changing someone's attire is far more reasonable than you suddenly taking over their body with the press of a button.

So take that lame ass argument out of here.

You might want to try the toolset installation again. Sometimes it throws a spurious error.

I don't know how you'd add new meshes without the toolset either, but it's doable -- games without toolsets get this kind of mod all the time.

@ Night Prowler76: no loot at all in DA3? Man, I hope so. I've been against playing as a scavenger for decades.

Dont worry, in DA3, if there is one, there will probably be no loot, you will just get money from corpses and just be able to upgrade 1 set of armor for yourself throughout the whole game.

no seriously am missing something? I mean i can go even further, I have Sir Isaac's armor bonus but what do i do if i never intend on playing a warrior? Just sell it?

If it was because the dev's wanted to give each companion a unique look etc than why let us choose what talent's and specialisation's they have? It just doesn't make sense to take it out and I can't think of one good reason to do so.

Well, it's sql that won't install, even if I try to install it on its own. I even tried multiple versions of it. Maybe it's Bitdefender blocking the connection. If I don't cancel my order and a toolset is released I'll give it another go, so that I can fix some of the things I don't like about DA2. Unfortunately, it'll take someone far more skilled than I'll ever be to fix the things I really hate about the game.

Again, it wasn't taking it out, it was not bothering to put it in. I guess they didn't think it was worth the effort. Which works for me since I'm anti-loot. YMMV.

I think Bio's got to stop with half-measures, though. If the PC runs on loot then the companions should too. But if Bio really doesn't believe in loot then they should go all the way.

I'm surprised they removed the companion inventory. No other reason to do so, but to cater to the non RPG players.

Or to save time and effort. Or so that they can add that capability in later with a DLC and get more money from players.

I was really disappointed in the change from ME1 to ME2. I was hoping that Bioware wouldn't go the route of stripping down DA2 for whatever asinine reason people wanna throw out there. This is officially the last Bioware game I buy.

Bioware had a huge opportunity that they really screwed up on. Customizations turns a 20hr game into a 40hr game having different races and storylines keeps people playing after they beat it the first time which in turn gives them time to release DLC while people are still interested. If they would of done these 2 simple things they could of kept the communities interest piqued untill ME3 was damn near ready for release or at least untill pre-orders started rolling in. Now the community will finish the game and put it up on the shelf to collect dust untill they get bored one night months away.

You gotta keep people interested in your product in the age of A.D.D. or you will have an epic fail on youre hands.

Inexpiable simplification as Gamespot put it.

My party looked badass in Origins and Awakening even though they weren't wearing unique and personal armor so screw the argument that this improves the aesthetic of the characters. I never felt or even heard that this was an issue.

As for uniqueness of the characters appearances screw that too. This isn't Final Fantasy or some anime where you have a chick with rabbit ears or a brother in a trench coat and a chocobo in his fro it's a bloody gritty medieval fantasy game.

I get that there are people that don't like sorting through their inventories and min/maxing their party members, but there is a much better solution that has been in play for years: Auto Equip.

Maybe Bioware just doesn't want us covering up Isabella's lovingly crafted milk jugs....

Yeah that´s what i feel right now too, pointless, and what about junk items? what are these anyway, you guys remove features that have a point and in the meantime introduce others like junk items? seriously sometimes i think Bioware just loves to toy with our faces -.-
