Am I the only one with this problem?
Before I downloaded the recent patch, the audio was fine, except for some rare cases. Now, quite often, it seems there is a "frying pan" making its noise (parasites) more often than I would expect from a game that has been recently patched. And, when I select my team members before an operation, each time I press the button to browse, the sound is corrupted. It also happens quite regularly when I scan a planet.
Also, my characters sometimes hang on in the air, shooting the ennemies from atop. Is this a new type of "power"?
While I appreciate the efforts invested by Bioware to correct some past issues, I have to admit that in my case, these audio problems make the patch more of a problem than of a corrective action.

the audio in cut scene are ok now, but during dialogs much more audio's are cut. (more then before the patch).
Then i had the same problem you had with terrible noises (had to reload and it happened again till the end of quest-- it was the final quest).
Same problem during team selection
The "hanging character on the air" happened to me before the patch... now only my companion has this "power"
oh,... companion still disappear during battles. (happens often when i give them the order to positioning before some enemy appear...). During IFF mission happened all the time. i had to destroy all alone... on insanity... that was hard .. but i did it

I disagree that the patch EVER fixed the audio synch issues in cutscenes. I beat the game both pre and post patch so I know what was and still is not fixed. The first mission with Veetor has awful audio issues with the Mech post patch, same with any cutscene on Purgatopry and in the Collector Base.
To OP's point, the patch now cuts off tons of dialogue when speaking to other characters during and in between missions. The last 25 percent of the line is often dropped.
I really hate to harp, but does Bioware even have a PS3 QA team and are they paid? I'm dead serious.
