"High Resolution Texture Pack for Dragon Age II" cannot install!!!!!!

I've purchased & installed DA2 Digital version. When I install Hi-res pack on my PC,
it appeared "Hires Textures requires Dragon age II to be installed firrst. Please install DA2 and try again".

Please fix this.

Check out the thread titled "Cannot install Black emporium and high res pack ." I think it may be the same issue and there is a workaround.

BlackEmporium & ExiledPrince won't install too. Please check.

If you are using the Steam version, try to launch the game at least once before trying the DLC installers.

I have the same problem, steam version, locale is US. I have launched the game already and played it and both the Black Emporium and the high res texture pact will not install.

Hi, I thought I'd throw my question in here since it's similar and I don't need to create a new thread.
Is the very high setting essentially the high res texture pac? Because my game runs fine on High, but if I try to use very high there are black squares all over the ground and it looks horrible. Unplayable.
So does this mean my high texture pac didn't install correctly either? I don't have the game on steam btw. I have a copy of it.

Is there a solution for those that installed the stupid digital version from the ea store via ea download manager? I get the same pop up and its already is installed. When I'm on that small menu with male hawke in the center, I get this

"Dragon age II or one of its components was detected as still running. Please exit Dragon age II and any of its components before trying again"
