I like to imagine that he dies in an unexpected but comparatively mundane way, instead of in the Deep Roads. Kill dozens in a fiery pink explosion, die in a completely accidental aravel crash. Or something.

I always have the sad image of my Hawke caring for a not-totally-sane guy and that's... sad.
I have a my-hawke-specific version of his end as well, but I like cosmic irony better overall because it's almost trollworthy.
