Also, on the topic of martyr deaths, we've got the classic stoning, flaying or being bricked up alive. But I just can't get the idea of him being chained up to a boulder somewhere in a flimsy white dress as a sacrifice for a High Dragon.

Clearly this thread has done terrible things to my mind.

Preferred ending? Yeah, still sticking with him and Hawke facing down two hundred templars on the steps of the Grand Cathedral in Val Royeaux. If they're gonna die anyway, might as well make it an awesome death.

I do like the fighting back to back until we die thing. I suppose dying of a bad tooth or hay fever is out of the question for people like Anders and Hawke. It's okay tho, even if i thappened I'm sure Varric would come up with something spectacular. So I'm not worried :happy:

I think I'm more or less resigned to the fact that my Hawke and Anders will die relatively young (i.e, before Anders' Calling) and violently.  What Aveline says to Anders about going out with a bang rings horribly true for Natale and Anders.  Even if the templars left them alone after DA2, they'd go looking for trouble.
