These are always so interesting to me....never any time during actual battles to listen to all the bits on conversation going on!

Also... "Healer down!!" always makes me chuckle....reminds me of raiding in WoW

The more I hear of these, the more I consider Sebastian to be socially awkward and dorky, Fenris as so stoic he's boring, Anders in need of both a kick to the shins and a cuddle afterwards, and Varric, Izzy and Merrill as totally fabulous.

Haha, so true. I honestly don't know what it is, but I think Carver is awesome and I think his voice is kind of sexy.

I hate losing him after Act I though. Always gives me a sad even though I know it's coming. I have a hard time trying to start a Rogue/Warrior as well, simply because I don't really like Bethany all that much and I miss my Hawke's little, ****y brother. >.<

Then again, I guess it's for the best. I can just imagine the trolling.

Also, I prefer Carver as well, especially as a Warden. I like Bethany a lot too, but she's I dunno... she's less her own character IMO.

The Grey Wardens help almost everybody in a way.
-They saved the Warden from imminent death.
-Saved Anders from hanging. (Before the bastard who took his cat, and the ****ing Chantry interfered*! (and before we introduced him to Justice...))
-Gave Nate a chance at redemtion. (Loghain, too)
-Gave Sigrun a purpose.
-Stopped Carver whining so bloody much.
-Made Bethany grow up.

*who thinks Stroud is responsible for this? <_<

Personally I can't take Bethany for 4 reasons.
1) I prefer playing mage.
2) I adore Carver. 
3) Hawke is likely to get jealous, Anders and Bethany are way too friendly... <_<
Also, she's sexier than fem!Hawke. 
4) She bores the hell out of me.

That happens during Act III, on Anders' quest Justice, when you go into the sewers to collect the sela petrae.

Bethany works because she is such a little sister, and as a consequence it's easier to feel ultimately far more responsible for her fate than Carver. Carver from the very start resents Hawke and wants to forge his own path. So I kind of felt the consequences of my Hawke's decisions regarding his/her sibling more when it's Bethany.

So I'm doing the Night Terrors quest and want to get the "Anders in the Fade" dialogue (and tell him it was a ruse). My question is, after I fight Justice, do I then have to fight Torpor, or can I "make the deal", do the Desire and Pride demons, and then betray Torpor at the end?

Or do I only get the one shot and have to fight him right after fighting Justice?

(I also wanted to add I love this quest because I get to spend some quality time with my favorite fade spirit turned demon in denial. *Drools*)

Yes you can make a deal with torpor and get attribute points, runes and some other stuff depending on teh options you chose. However.... if you are in a romance with Anders he will drop you like a hot potato if you do the deal and the romance is over and there's no way to bluff him if you do the deal.

They dont have a battle afterwards. That's the sceene you get for "continuing" the relationship with Fenris in act three. When you go with Anders for his quest in act 3 (aka, bomb-making), he'll question your decision to be with Fenris. Then, as soon as the scene ends, you get jumped by thugs

Sure, the Wardens are very helpful right up until they make you drink Darkspawn blood and give you thirty years to live. >.>

That said, does anyone else tend to forget that Anders is a Warden in DAII until it gets randomly mentioned?

It might be that he just has so much other **** going on that the fact he's a Warden gets lost.

Erm. That didn't answer my question. @.@

I'm asking if I can tell Torpor I'll make the deal, then betray him after dealing with the other demons, thus saving Fenyriel, but not gaining any attriubutes/talents/runes because I didn't actually make the deal, I just said I would.
