I'm right there with you. From the moment he mentioned it in awakenings i was heartbroken and sad i never got to talk further with him about it. he just shrugged it off and i was left there feeling :(

I love this picture, i love his face, love that after a year he still is strong enough (or maybe crazy enough) to respond with such snark! I love Anders and this pict does him justice (...um, no pun intended)

No, I meant console.  I think the one they released a few days ago fixes it, but I haven't had time to download it myself and see yet.

How do you even get patches on console? Is it in the Marketplace or what?
If you don't mind holding my hand through this. LMFAO

The 360 patch is out and it should fix this. When you start the game it comes up with a 'this game has a new patch' dialog before you can play if you're signed in to xbox live.

We used to have Xbox. Till it red-ringed on us and killed my favorite playthroughs.

Then I had the game for PC. But my PC is crappy and crashes all the time.

So PS3 it is for now.

It's okay, Anders still loves me my Hawke.

No it came out on xbox last week though I think PS3 have to wait a bit longer.

On the day it came out, my xbox automaticly prompted me to downloaded the patch when i went to play the game. has there been one since the first patch?

yick, red ring. i warranted the crap out of my xbox when i got it this year. i could basically throw it in the pool at this point and they'd give me a shiny new one

do you like the PS3? Anyone i know that gets it seems to become a diehard fan overnight, but my family rocks xbox's so it's more fun to be able to play/chat with all of them.

You're telling me. I'm a dual criminology/literature student. I'm just finishing up a course on corrections with a special emphasis on the effects of solitary. Even sane, rational individuals can crack under the pressure of current-day facilities which at least offer a modicum of time out of the cell, if only for an hour a day. I have to imagine back in the middle ages there wasn't much of a push for human rights. In light of this, it's amazing Anders held it together so well in Awakening and really not surprising that he carried enough anger and fear to turn Justice into Vengeance.

I'm probably the wrong person to ask. I don't see a whole lot of difference between the platforms. We used to pay for XBox Live and now we don't have to, so that's a win in my book. And we have more friends on PS3, so when the 360 kicked the bucket, it made sense to switch.

Ooh, people who have actually researched the topic.

That thing about a year in solitary always gets me, and I know nothing about it, save that I saw Murder in the First and thought that it was god-awful from that movie. Do you know if that is a realistic portrayal of what you could expect from someone who's been in solitary for that long? because Anders seems amazingly sane, given what he went through. (and that's saying something.)

the not paying for online play is a huge bonus in my book. Though splitting the family plan with people helps some. Microsoft is... annoying when it comes to bleeding you dry with paying for extras >_>

i heard a rumor that you can't talk over headsets if you're playing different games on the PS3. do you know if this is true or not?

I remember researching the effects of sensory deprivation for a character once, and while solitary isn't quite that extreme I have to laugh at the people that say Anders wasn't already slightly crazypants in DAA.

Since I'm pretty much just a Bioware girl and don't use the headset, I asked my stepson, and he says, no, he doesn't think you can talk if you're playing different games.

Ugh, to blather on about fanfic as if anyone cares, one of the most frustrating things about writing a playthrough fic is the fact that it's going to be forever before I can write any lightning!smut. Damn Anders and his finding restraint the moment he's romanceable!

i don't know, my cat used to be one of the best companions i had. She may not have taken out any templars when she died but she was still pretty awesome!

It's a comforting thought he may have atlest had Mr. Wiggums durring that year.

Ooh, you have to wait all the way till act 2 for that don't you! Maybe you can just see it as intensive to finish writing for act one quickly
