1. Just befriended Fenris, never slept with him, I flirted once maybe but never enough to start the romance scene after his quest)
2. Only romanced Anders (because I'm the type that decides from the start who my Hawke wants, and I don't hate Fenris enough to make him a sad puppy clinging to Hawke after years xD)
I gave Fenris the book after completing both of their personal quests in Act2.
The flirt option at the book was still here, I picked it since really I didn't want to be rude and I liked the idea to teach him to read, so hell, I tried. I went to my mansion at night several times, nothing happens, and I have Fenris at 100% friendly.
I think that Anders kicks out every other romance possibility after the sexscene anyway.

It's not just Anders, it's hate for the game in general. While I can completely understand and respect peoples reasons for not enjoying the game, the utter vitriolic hate for both the game and some of the characters is just depressing. Ah well at lease here we have kittens, mereanders and a thread festooned with ruffles to cheer me up
