BW obviously has a thing with light haired guys. So far, 4 out of the 4 LIs have been that way (3 blond, 1 white) and if Cullen comes back as a LI, that's another one.

On the other hand, female LIs always have black hair, except for Lelianna.

I think they're trying to subvert the classic fantasy image of tall, dark and handsome hero, and sexy blonde nymph heroine. Which, yes, fine, but two games is enough to get the point across. I shall be super sad if there's no female blonde or male brunette LI in DA3. Or dwarf LI.
I want a heartbreaking romance with a dwarf in the Legion of the Dead. At least I'd know up front that it would be doomed. <_<

Hahaha well, Anders did tell you he'd break your heart you know.

I enjoyed the little romance thingy you can have with your... er... second or something? in the dwarf noble origin. But then POW it ends tragically and the guy couldn't wait for 3 bloody months to find a surface dwarf and knock her up. Now that I know Hepler wrote this I'm not surprised.

Serriously tho, bring on the male brunettes! And what about Sten as an LI in DA3 :D

I'm cool with having blond male LIs because Anomen, Carth, Sky, and Kaidan all had dark hair. And Atton, Casavir, and Bishop did too (but they're all Obsidian, not Bioware. And Bishop was a jerk).

Oh, question for you guys!

If two of the next game's LIs were brother and sister, would you be put off, intrigued, or not bothered?

I vote for Orsino's non-crazy twin. Orsino was hooooot and I don't usually find the elves in DA attractive.

See, this is my problem with having a male Hawke. I can make him have lovely dark hair and facial hair. Then I just go running around the whole time thinking about how hot I look. With pretty lady Hawke I can go about my business and oggle Anders every time he comes onto the screen. With my man Hawke I just spend the entire time oggling him. Then it makes me want him to be a LI.

Thus why I end up with many more lady Hawkes. Okay, not the only reason, but it is hard to roleplay in any real sense while completely enrapture with the Hawteness. And I miss staring at Anders when I'm only staring at Hawke. D:

See, I quite like my female Hawke as well. Especially in the champion armour.

The stupid profile pic makes her look awful though:

No matter how hot male Hawke is I will always get distracted by this image:

I like mage elves. I like the tragedy. I like old guys. I like slender guys. And I like BAMFs.

Orsino was all of these.

I knew he had to die.

THIS.
I want silver foxes, too. :crying:
Maybe if we wave enough money at BioWare, they'll comply.

I vote intrigued (assuming you mean the LIs were brother and sister with each other and not the PC). I think that could bring up some really interesting banter if you were banging someone's bro/sis. BTW, that's totally what should have happened in this game. So much lost potential. I really wanted to hear more from Carver/Bethany after I started dating Anders.

Probably intrigued. It might make for some interesting party banters if you swapped between the two of them (assuming you could), especially if they already had some kind of sibling rivalry thing going on. That or you could have the whole 'If you hurt my brother/sister I'll tear you a new one' dynamic. It'd have to be done well though.

Also, if Orsino had been romanceable I would have jumped at that. Well, until I found out about all the weird crap.

So I was wondering, Anders' complete manifesto isn't in the Codex or anything is it? The only part of it heard ingame is when he reads part of it to Hawke in their rivalmance, right?

Related to the PC, or to eachother? Do I get to force them into awkward incestuous threeways?

i'd actually be really interested to see lolincest but i don't think bioware is ready to face the fox news rage that would come out of that

Yep, that's what I meant. You could choose between, say, Megan Linnaeus, the fierce and beautiful warrior, or her slightly younger brother, Tristan, the intelligent and charming blood mage. You would, as with all the other love interests, be able to break it off with one and begin flirting with the other, or even cheat on one with the other.
Just wondering if that would bother people, make it more fun, or if they wouldn't really care that much.

I like the idea, personally - I think that having the extra dynamic between two of your potential LIs would be interesting. For me, DA2 missed out of the awesome potential of sibling reactions to your relationships. Carver trying to warn off Anders or Bethany being slightly jealous would have been fantastic.

This x10000. I was pretty disappointed when i realised there would never be any confrontational romance-related dialogue between Hawke/Anders/Carver. That would have been pretty glorious to see, especially if the tone of it was dictated in by Hawke's own relationship with the sibling.

I could totally see Carver just going "welp, enjoy your flaming bed, sister! I hope it's worth it!"

I wouldn't give a damn.
Might make for some funny party banter if you leave one for the other.
Say, you're a male and you leave the sister for the brother.
Has the potential for GREAT party banter. :D

Yeah, Mass Effect and Dragon Age kinda balance each other out in terms of LI hair colour. All the human male LIs have dark hair in ME. Come to think of it, so do all the human female LIs. Well, except for Jack, who's got a shaven head, but considering she has dark eyebrows and brown eyes, she's most likely a brunette as well.

I vastly prefer dark hair as well (whoever mentioned Aragorn and Sirius Black, I wholeheartedly agree). But I won't say no to the occasional scruffy blonde, of course Image IPB Red hair...I have to admit I much prefer it on females.

But it would probably be a tad odd if all the male LIs are blondes in DA3 as well.

I like it whenever the sister is big and burly and the brother is tiny and a mage.

Or anything. Give me reverse gender expectations. Give me more Aveline!

I ... what? You were asking a question?

I wouldn't buy it. One of them would obviously end up dead soon anyway.

I think having sibling as party members and possible LI would just be an improvement of the DA2 party banters and companion relationships. I liked that they had their own lives and talked to each other even when Hawke was not around.
So yes, so much potential, I would like it!

@Nilfalasiel: I stared at your Garrus banner in the sig till I read every single line xD It is great xS

Because I've gotten quite used to seeing boys as the ones that swing swords and girls as the ones that wear dresses robes and do magic.

Having Anders as a healer pleased me. Usually that's the "girl's" spot.
