I could only imagine him getting some really gaudy tattoo of a naked lady while he was drunk.
Then he gets it touched up to look like Meredanders~

I love that comic so much. Makes me tear up. And as far as Anders getting a tattoo - a cat. DEFINITELY.
Anders strikes me as an earring guy instead of a tattoo guy. DON'T KNOW WHERE I GOT THEM NOTIONS.
Also, now that I'm getting back into longer fanfiction involving Anders, I have no idea how BioWare does it. It's SO HARD to make him as emotional and passionate as he is in the game without merrily dancing over the line to maudlin.

That's why despite the many plot bunnies making love in my head, I don't ever write fanfiction. I wrote this one bit once between my Cousland and Loghain...but I dare not post it in public.

Morning! Hehe I'm amazed at your skills to write fanfiction!
^^ I'm SO emotionally invested I can't even draw Anders without a panic attack
- I'm so obsessed with getting him to be "perfect" its effectively
butchering my skills.
I'm already following Miri's stories on DA, where can I read
yours?

Link is in my signature.
And I've found that there's no such thing as perfect when it comes to critiquing your own work. There's only "eh...that's not awful" in varying degrees

I wish they'd kept the Blizzard spell in the game. I would have given it to Anders, so he could have been the Abominable Snowman.

I really miss the Blizzard spell too...and Inferno! Ohh, that spell was bad-ass!

Flame Blast, Shock, Waking Nightmare *Evil laugh*.
By level 35, Anders in Awakening was a god as a Spirit Healer/Battle Mage. He could solo the game on Nightmare on tactics alone. XD
I miss the Battle Mage specilization... and Arcane Warrior... and all the other awesome spells that got cut in DAII. T.T

Yeah, I can understand why they didn't include these (arcane warr is a lost elven knowledge after all, and battle mage is... too awesome?). Arcane warrior as a companion thought, would be so cool *writes it in the DLC wishlist*
EDIT: I was pretty suprised first time I got Anders in the party and he only had a few spells, and some lousy staff in the inventory. And how they explain that? He could solo a big bad ogre in da armor, and now he's... he's... unworthy

Yeah, I can understand why they didn't include these (arcane warr is a lost elven knowledge after all, and battle mage is... too awesome?). Arcano warrior as a companion would be so cool *writes it in the DLC wishlist*
This is true. That said, the one thing about Arcane Warrior is that... surely the Elves weren't the only ones to go, "Hey, let's train our mages to use swords and wear heavier armour. That sounds like an awesome idea!" >.>
Battle Mage? Yeah, far too badass. On my first Awakening playthrough I was all, "Huh, what should I make Anders' second specilization? It'd only make sense for him to be a blood or battle mage, and I don't really see him as the blood mage type... Wading into melee range though? Yeah, that sounds like him." Making these decisions after meeting him for the first time, no less. XD
That said, it was brought to my attention later that id you do make him a Malificar he gets some dialogue about it. Huh...
*Watches plot bunny run across her desk.*
Oh sh-.
*Coughs*
I miss a lot of the other Entropy and Spirit skills too. Drain Life, Drain Mana. The whole anti-mage line in the Spirit school. Those were fun to play around with.
*Looks at DA:A skill trees.* Heh. Apparently I specced Anders very similar in both games. Funny how that worked out. What? I can't be the only one who saw Anders laughing joyfully as he threw around Walking Bombs.

After all, what better reason to become a healer than not being able to stand pain?

I often feel so sad after reading various DA2 threads full of Anders' haters...
But then I come here and I'm not sad anymore - it's definitely some kind of magic at work!
I love you all!

And now I've caught up: tattoos. Given his histrionic battle cries, it pleases me to imagine that he's far too much of a wuss to ever get a tattoo. I can imagine him whining for days after getting his ear pierced, and then turning slightly green when he sees what's involved in getting a tattoo - especially given the methods and hygiene standards of the day.
After all, what better reason to become a healer than not being able to stand pain?
Probably very true.
I've always imagined his ear piercing happened during a night of being completely drunk off his arse (during one of his many escape attempts, no less). Woke up the next morning going, "Maker... what did I do."
Of course, once he found it chicks were all for it, so was he.

My friend who hates the game keeps sending me emails about how he hates the game - I guess to convince me that I too should hate it. He wants to be the hero and it's "frustrating not being the hero". So go play a game where you're the hero! That's only like EVERY OTHER GAME OUT THERE. Seriously, go have some cheese with your whine. Ugh.

I think what they wanted to show was that even a hero can't change the course of events sometimes. And on that note, bed for me.
...I always make posts that I want to discuss right before bed. Will book mark this post and see what comes of it

I don't get this "you're not the hero" business. You're so totally the hero. As far as there is any hero. I mean, the story wouldn't HAPPEN without you. It would be two short acts of brutality then QUNARI TAKE OVER KIRKWALL.

He wants to make every decision and have every choice have meaning - like DA:O "appeared" to do. I put appeared in quotes because I never felt like any of my decisions in DA:O had any weight.

I always found myself going: why the hell are you asking her? She's a 19 year old girl who is probably slightly unstable having just witnessed the massacre of her entire family, and especially at the Landsmeet, she's clearly biased towards putting her boyfriend on the throne! Don't ask her! Get someone with some damn experience!
