He says,"Let me see that! The Divine... rejected the idea. Meredith rejected the idea! This was... not what I expected. Perhaps I should try talking to the grand cleric. Maybe she's more reasonable than I thought."
Cue Surely crying because...if only.
If only.
I wonder if all the disaster could have been averted if Elthina took the mages' side.

@Surely I get a great deal of joy out of putting Sebastian in my party in Act II and clicking on her over and over again to say "You're useless" to her and max up his rivalry.
Gives me a happy.
I need to do this...if anything, just to troll Sebastian.

Unless she'd acted before Dumar's death, there was no way that was ending pretty for anyone. By Act 3, the Divine was already seriously considering an Exalted March, no matter what Hawke and Seb say to Leliana. Meredith was nutters and called for the Right of Annulment long before the Chantry explosion. I got a feeling of inevitability from Act 3.
Now if she'd acted sooner, before everything got really bad, she could've replaced Meredith and instituted reforms. That would've gone a LONG way toward alleviating the tension in Kirkwall.

After starting up a new mage on Origins today and for the first time seeing a conversation with a templar guarding the door and asking him to pwetty please open it..
It is now in my head canon that at some point Anders decided to just walk out the front door and hope that they'd be so appalled at his bluntness to do so they'd just let him go.
Oh, oh! Flirt with Cullen and make him run away from you! :wizard:That's my favorite part of the mage origin. That and saying "That's a big door." The templar's like, "Yes, it is. Do you have any more stupid comments?"
I fell for the Rickroll.
Just did Dissent (got 15 rivalry points from Seb for accepting it ), had the scene with Anders throwing his things out, walked to the entrance... and Fenris decides now is a good time to start mocking him about losing control.
<_< Really? This from the guy who's murdered about three people after promising at least one of them that he wouldn't? And who doesn't really feel bad about it? And he's talking to Anders, who just had a meltdown because he almost killed someone?
Showing the papers to Cullen and Elthina is kind of funny because they're both like, "Maker's breath! Those belong to Ser Alrik, who was just killed."
Hawke:
But neither of them care that the guy was a monster.

I...did not know that was possible. I think I screwed up maxing his rivalry in this playthrough anyway, although I haven't gotten to him yet in Act 3.
Also...I love Galagraphia so much. I really want to post that in the "How Would You Kill Anders?" thread. Just quote each post individually and respond with nothing but that.

Yeah I don't understand that.
Hawke can get away with anything, seriously.
He/she could drag a half-dead templar over to Cullen, slit his throat, and rub his blood all over Cullen's face, and he'd just be like, "I'm not going to ask why my face is covered in Templar blood. 'Tis a nice day for a bloodbath, yes? Maker watch over you!"

I got a mod that made Cullen have a crush on male mages.
It made his running away bit all the more hilarious.

Ser Bran is on par with Sgt. Kylon in pragmatism.
Fenris is a big ol' hypocrite just like Anders, they are both two extremely skewed sides to an incredibly jaded coin. I would pay to see the "Walk Off" though, Anders has a lead with those pauldrons and<3Boots.
As to Ser Alrik, I wish I had a dialogue option or hell give me a Renegade interrupt to give them both(Cullen and Elthina a hard slap upside the head.

Punch Jowan? How can you punch Jowan? He's awesome! My Warden wanted to invoke the Right of Conscriptions soooo bad in Redcliffe. I made it canon for my Warden even though you can't. screw canon, my female elf mage needs Jowan

Anders couldn't control himself.
Fenris isn't being hypocritical in that situation (though he is in others.)
It's just as he says "I did that at the beheast of no demon."
How would you kill Anders? Hm...

I miss the interrupts. I want them to come back! But I don't want that Para/Rene bar bull****. Just have them appear and if we want to interrupt we can! We can even add a middle mouse button interrupt for a sarcastic interrupt!
