...that sounds like my Warrior Hawke...except she's very snarky.
My Mage Hawke will be a bitter Blood-Mage who goes by the "every man for himself" policy, and the kind-hearted Anders will soften her up. XD
Ohh, the fanfiction bunnies in my head won't stop breeding!!!!
I have to say my favorite part of Basara is how the manga lets you think "Oh yes kill him he's a horrible person!" (When you first meet the red king and see him killing Sasara's brother and destroy the village and give her the drive to do the revolution) and the rest of the manga is all about destroying that and showing that both sides have good and bad and how ugly and nasty war can be and how many people suffer because of someone else's actions even when they're well intentioned. And then there's the tragic romance you see coming from a mile away. Good lord that was agonizing watching her fall in love and screaming "NO HE'S THE RED KING! STOP STOOOOP!!!" and then you find yourself grinning at his jokes and (well I was at least) cursing at the fact that I was warming up to him.
Does help that Sasara takes up her brother's name and title to forge the revolution. (She was the prophet child but they thought it was her brother's title so she ended up playing second fiddle to him during her childhood.) And I probably should stop my fangirling over Basara. Needles to say if DA3 shows the mages/templars in anywhere near as much grey I'll be a very happy camper.
*coughs* Though yes she'll probably end up being a warrior Hawke doing everything she can to keep Bethany safe. She'll be aggressive to put a big front but utterly crumble whenever anything bad happens (Carver dying, her mother dying, Bethany being taken away to the Circle, the big boom) but somehow will find the strength to drag herself along.
