He gets bloody in my games, I'm pretty sure though I never thought of this little detail. Need to take a screeny next time he fancies swapping tasks with Aveline and rushes to the centre of the battle to show off his 1337 tanking skillz. I'll make sure to take the screeny when he's dead on the ground 10 seconds later.

He gets bloody occasionally in my games, too, but it's pretty rare. It's usually in the bigger battles, where things get a little more crazy and hard to manage, or it takes longer to kill them all dead.

Edit for top.

He gets splashed a little in mine too. He likes to whack things with his staff if you know what I mean. Ohohoho

That would be hilarious, if he didn't do that in my game without being prompted to.
I'm like, "ANDERS WTF ARE YOU  DOING? You can't whack a dragon with your staff, you're just going to ****** it off!"
Meanwhile he's being mauled by five dragonlings and a HIgh Dragon, and Hawke is facepalming.

Wynne used to do this to me all the time in Origins.

If I was running short on inventory space while I was adventuring, I would start plying all my companions with alternate weapon sets to clean up space.

Any time I equipped Wynne with daggers in her second set, she would ****ing invariably switch to them when combat started and run up and start stabbing crap. Which would be fine, but she tended to get so swept up in the glory of stabbity that she would completely disregard her tactics, and then we'd die while I was trying to figure out wtf was going wrong.

I hope it was worth it, you daffy old broad!

LMFAO!!!
I've only ever had that problems with Anders.
It;s like he gets all confident and sassy and goes, "Well, no one's killed me yet. Might as well jump right into the dragon's face!" -smack smack-
And I'm like, "No one's killed you yet, because Fenris and I are PROTECTING YOU. Get back there with Varric before I smack the **** out of you." <_<

Ooh, I gave her Arcane Warrior and a sword once, dropped that playthrough a while, and came back to it months later. It was unintentionally hilarious to see Wynne charging at enemies with a giant sword when I started back up. And then I gave her tactics to try to stop that from happening, but even still, she'd whip out her sword, tactics be damned, and charge right in every time.

Eventually, I just had to take her sword away.

I have thought waaaaaaay too much about his magic hands. Way, way, way too much. They have a tendency to take over most Anders smut that I write and it forces me to edit, edit, edit so I don't seem like I have a fetish.

See, I tend to fixate on lips in writing.  I think we all have things that we focus on to try to convey emotions, etc.  But yes, I hear with the edit edit edit.

As far as curses go, I like ridiculous ones. I am especially fond of Anders' shout of, "Andraste's flaming knickers!"

When I'm not cursing normally, I tend to say ridiculous stuff myself anyway. Like shouting "Butt monkies!" when something goes wrong.

Andraste's Knickerweasles > Andraste's flaming knickers.

Just saying. -_-

Anders did the same thing as an AW in Awakening.  I just took his sword away and gave him back his staff.... Let him keep the armor, though.  (I HATE mage robes.)

Huh. I don't think I've ever bother to give my mages swords. Well, mage companions that is. My mage Warden was an Arcane warrior so he was in full armor with a sword.

As it is, I usually had enough trouble keeping Leliana with her bow when I wanted her ranged. She would constantly switch to her daggers.

Ooohh! Anders covered in blood and nutella? ^^ Tounge baths? AND swearing? :D Ohh girls you spoil me!

Haha to jump in the immediate discussion: Anders actually handles life and tactics better than any of my other companions. He tends to survive last and sometimes drag like 5 mobs after him. Also occasionally I fail miserably and Anders is the last one standing with a rage demon at 3/10 health
so he runs around throwing the occasional snowball until revive cools down and saves the day.

Oh and I miss being able to wear heavy armor. In Awakening I ran around in Cailan's armor, looked better on my Surana than anyone else.

Oh and swearing: I've lived in London for like 4 years now and my boyfriend STILL doesn't allow me to swear. He's like "you're foreign so it just sounds wrong stop it" SO sexist -.-

It also annoys me when Hawke goes "Andraste guide us" or w.e  - there should be an atheist option.

I hate mage robes too but I'm afraid of inciting Yuki's anti-pants fervor.

My Surana ran around in a dress wielding a big sword though he did that before AW, aww yeah. I think I might have been playing the spec wrong.

Same here. Anders always does best at staying at range and doing what he's supposed to. He's generally the last one alive in my games too. Well, until my 2H warrior becomes mostly impervious to damage. Then she generally flounces about, laughing as high dragons try to eat her.

Would be nice, but I think I'm more okay with my Hawke saying something like that than my canon Warden. For all that I can RP Hawke, she still not completely my character, and I'm okay with elements that don't really reflect that. I also injected a lot more of myself into my canon Warden than I did with Hawke.

Atheist option = snarky Hawke?

I've not got any "Andraste guide us"s out of my Snarky Hawke. Mostly just... more snark.

I like some of the robes. I had a F!Hawke in some nice purple ones until I got the Champion armor, and even the bicycle seat over the crotch didn't look too bad on those. It seemed like a pretty fitting outfit for someone who was living in Hightown.
