I have never killed Anders - not even for science.
I didn't know you could kill Bethany until today. It never even occurred to me why anyone would want to. She's just so unobtrusive (for lack of a better term because I can't think today. I R DUM)

Speaking of sado/maso. (Well, maybe not really.)

I was thinking as I was coming back from lunch.

That it must really suck being a female Saarebas, especially if you had a male Arvaraad.

And then I thought. Wait, we haven't even SEEN female Qunari yet.

Assuming Qunari even have "primal urges" there must be a lot of man on man. Sort of like the Greeks, where it was just commonplace, especially during wartime.

Arvaraad and his discipline stick. *cough*

I know this has nothing to do with Anders. But it could. If someone wanted to Saarebas collar Anders. *cough* Oh god.

Qunari don't engage in non-reproductive sex. I guess except when they do, but that's a cultural anomaly.

Jurassic Bark as the MOST HORRIBLY SAD AND JUST WHAT THE HELL THIS IS MEANT TO BE FUNNY futurama episode?

Also, I hate robes in DA2 - they just make Hawke look like a COW. And, I have to say it, my boyfriend's main reason for NOT Playing a mage Hawke even though I whined my **** out at him to do it: because guys look stupid in robes.
...

...

*facepalm*

I can't tell you how many times I go from "YAY FUTURAMA IS ON!" to "OH **** CHANGE IT NOW" because I realize it's Jurassic Bark, and I start tearing up immediately.

I had to leave my kitty at home to go to college, and that episode brings out the guiltguiltguilt I still feel about it. ****.Image IPB

I actually think I've only seen it once. I scarred me and gave me anxieties at a late age in life. I just have a thing about dogs in films in general - nothing gets me like dogs dying or being hurt or aboundoned in any way. Marley and Me just made me want to jump off something, or when I saw there was a dog in I am Legend I was like ohhh nooo i know where this is going. Also I like to torture myself with that huski film - Eight Below or something? It's not even THAT sad but it's just like - weeping like a demented little crazy person.

So yeah, tranquil Anders, Anders being hurt, Anders being killed = slaughtering puppies.

YOU can kill her?? Oo How? When? I surely didn't know!

(Possibly because I'd never tried a non mage character until just now *cough*)

Also, this weirdass video reminds me of default Hawke. It's ... probably NSFW, just because it's so ... odd.

what is this and why can't i stop listening to it

Bethany dies in the Deep Roads everytime even though I bring Anders. Sorry, love, but at least you're dying for a good cause. That cause being Anders as the damsel in distress in Act 3.

One of the things that confused me while playing a female Hawke was how the Arishok agreed to speak with me at all, let alone believed that I was worthy enough to duel. Not a single comment about my gender? I wonder if they're retconning that, or if the Arishok was ignoring it for political reasons.

doesn't he mention it when Fenris first suggest that hawk and the Arishok dual?

but yeah, it's weird that he would give f!Hawke the time of day in the first place

Ah, I've never had Fenris set up the duel: he's either offered it himself or I just killed the whole room. What does he say about it?

you are baselite-an (or something) and are worthy

edit; means honoured outsider which counts for more than gender

Maybe an arishok has a better understanding of gender roles in non-Qun cultures than a soldier would have? So while Sten cannot conceive of a female warrior because the thought has literally never occurred to him, the Arishok understands that a woman with a sword could very well be another annoyance he has to endure as long as he is interacting with bas.

You can't kill her yourself but you can kill her "yourself".  If you do the templar ending you can turn her over to Meredith who will stab her thricedamned sword through her and kick Beth off the blade.

Speaking with a female isn't a retcon, since females still hold powerful and respected positions in their society.  They just aren't warriors, which the Arishok does comment on if Fenris has to set up the duel.  When Fenris mentions it, the Arishok says something like "If you know our ways then you know I won't fight a woman" and Fenris says "Aha, but she isn't a woman; you've declared her a basalit-an!  Ha HA!"  And the Arishok says "Damn, guess you're right."
