I love that picture so much, but I wish the tiger was eating Sebastian.

You can pretend he's sitting on Sebastian in that last panel. Death by tiger butt is probably not a very pleasant way to go.

Or, Seb's buried in a giant litter box somewhere.

top again.

It's real messed up.  And I don't think there is an equivalent in Carver's play through if you side with the mages.  Though I might be wrong depending on his friendship/rivalry level.

lol, is it even possible to get friendship with carver?

I think you can.  You just have to try really hard to do it.  I think my brother did it by accident honestly.  lol

hu, crazy. And here i thought he was just dead set on hating you! Hopefully he'd still protect you from Meredith if he joins the templars. He and Cullen won me over there ^_^

changing topic slightly but does meredith really grab your LI during the final fight? i've never had that.
maybe because it takes all of never to finish her off. the arishok and the rock wraith were so much harder.

It's not your LI necessarily; I think it's just whoever happens to be within reach.  I've never had her grab Anders, even though I've started taking control of Anders during that fight and positioning him right in front of her face the entire battle (occasionally whacking her with his staff to try and get her attention, lol).  For me it's usually Hawke that she grabs, although I've had her grab Aveline as well.

First time I played she grabbed Carver. Always does.

Totally set off my OH HAIL NO BIOTCH radar.

I honestly don't follow siding with the templars.  Invoking the Right is calling for the death of many for the crime of one man.  It's just wrong.

The Right wasn't called because of Anders, but his actions made it possible for Meredith to call it right then and there, instead of waiting for the response from the Divine. With the Grand Cleric dead, she assumed authority and no longer had to ask for permission to invoke the Right.
If the Divine had said yes to her request (likely, since she was already considering an Exalted March), the Circle would have been Annuled even if the Chantry was untouched. I'm sure Anders was a catalyst, but at that point it was only a matter of time anyway.

I wish I had all the pretty screenshots you all do. When I play, I pause at random times to see what kind of cool screenshots I could take, if I wasn't playing on Xbox.

What we really needed to show people what they are choosing when they choose the Right is the apprentices.  I mean, would ANYONE condone it if they had shown the templars slaughtering 6 year olds? No one would accpet that.

I did it because I'm trying to avert the war that Anders tries to start. I kill those mages so that others don't end up suffering.

That said yes I would condone the templars slaughtering 6 years old if some of those 6 year olds turned into abominations (which they are perfectly capable of doing).

That said I can't really side with the mages and feel okay with it. The constant being swarmed by demons and the like made my eye twitch. What I really wanted to do was walk away and let them kill each other.

Edit: As for not being allowed to save some of the mages. I find that fine we only was able to save a handful of mages. Those that begged for mercy and Bethany. I sided with the templars to save lives not destroy every single one.

Hopefully this isn't what Pounce went through.  Years of staring off into the sea, waiting for Anders to come back.

You just had to go there!  :crying:

And here is where I have to say it: Elthina could have ended it all. ALL she needed to do was FIRE Meredith. She had the power, she had the reason WHY DIDN'T SHE??

I know! She could have put Cullen in charge. He wasn't perfect but atlest he tried to do right and has a good heart deep down.

I'm too young for Breakfast Club! I've watched it, but it's just so 80's, I can't take it seriously. "Ohhh, look at the punk. He's such a punk. Keep punking, man."

Mwahahahahahaha.

It's only kinda sad at the end. And, now I feel old so THANKS FOR THAT! :P

You're welcome. That's what us whipersnappers are for.

That makes sense I think.  In any case, I agree with your earlier comment about the Right.  If you choose the Right you kill EVERY mage.  You don't spare the ones that surrender, Meredith wouldn't allow it anyway, that was so OOC.  I honestly think that if you choose the Right, the only mage you should be allowed to try and protect is Bethany, and her only because she is your sister.

I'm not good enough at roleplaying to make some of these choices. The only way I got the Templar achievement in Origins was to spare all the mages but agree that they should be locked up for a while to make sure they aren't blood mages. Since you can't do something similar in DA2, I don't think I could manage it.

I have to give you that one.  By Act III I wanted to just go grab Bethany and leave Kirkwall.  That place is a nuthouse.

I thought Anders reactions to Fenris in the third act made sense to me, especially in his state of mind.   Fenris was just another person piling on mage hate in a city full of it.  And not only was he doing that, he was doing it around Hawke.  Add in Justice, who has fully turned into Vengence, and you have Anders being a real jerkwad during that mission.

I was thinking about picking up the game for PC, but then I realized I'd probably need a new video card to even get it to run, since even NWN2 runs like poo. And that makes it a little too unreasonable for me right now.

Guys, I think we've found the reason behind them taking out the Shapeshifter specialisation in DA2. They knew that we'd all just roll mage Hawkes and turn into kitties in order to sit on Anders' shoulder all day. We'd never get past level 7!
