Justice is a guy. He can only handles one cause at a time or his glowy spirit brain begins to hurt. Apparently.

My boyfriend just moved in with Merill and I'm worried he'll grow to hate Anders and his rude attitude in Act 3. He's never unfair or WRONG but common man, lay the **** off srsly.

My fiance got pretty pissed off with Anders after he started really laying into Merrill in Act 3. I still think she deserves it, but Anders is just a touch too harsh. And Merrill is a touch too stubborn.

Edit for top. Shapeshifted Mage!Hawke on Anders's shoulder. Image IPB

Is it, though? How many normal, law-abiding citizens do we encounter in Kirkwall? And how many sword-wielding, murder dog having, **** thugs do we encounter?

It's a matter of game mechanics. We fight bad guys, and there needs to be bad guys around to fight. If you honestly think that every single mage in Kirkwall is represented by the blood mages Hawke runs into you should also apply such non-logic to the the non-mage ****s we encounter.

And, really, my horse isn't that high. It just seems that way from the Pit of Child-Murder Justification.

You do realize that is exactly what I *wasn't* doing right? But by all means continue on it's amusing.

And now you think I'm gonna be upset that you're saying I'm in a pit? Nope. Sadly it is perfectly justifible. If any of the children were willing to surrender like their elders I'd give them the same mercy as putting them in isolation. If any of them fight. I'll cut them down. Sorry that's just how it is.

And I hate to break it to you but a innocent child is just as innocent as an innocent adult. They're lives aren't worth more or have any higher significance. Both are innocents. With a mage however both have high risks involved and both are fully capable of turning into a creature that'll rip my throat out if they feel the need too.

But by all means stay on that horse.

Ok, I'm not THAT old and I don't care if you're on my lawn - just don't poop on it.

LMFAO you don't strike me as old enough to give a **** about your lawn.

Though, I might set my dog loose on it. See how you feel after 150 pounds of Great Dane releases his bowls on it. This is why I hire people to clean my yard when I can.

You have a great dane. I have a horse. Want to have a contest? I'll give you the outcome: I win. ;)
1 horse = 50 lbs of free fertilizer per day on average.

Back on topic: Thedas needs more horses. Walking sucks.

I think at that point and time, Justice didn't live there anymore.   Anders was angry or sullen all the time so there was probably a lot of vengence going everywhere.   Vengence isn't the same as justice.  Vengence is personal and not always righteous or sees situations the same way Justice might.  So Fenris going back to slavery might not push the buttons for Vengence like it might have Justice.  To Vengence, it's a mage hater getting what they deserve.

It's like the difference between Atticus Finch and Charles Bronson.   Charles Bronson was definately taking over.

I guess that makes sense too.

and i must admit, i only got the Atticus Finch reference *google search takes care of the rest*

I love it, but I always get seriously weirded out when I see Hawke wearing it because it's Bethany's. It's particularly unnerving when it's a mage Hawke wearing it, because my mind automatically assumes that Hawke stole it from Bethany's corpse.

I have a PC so I just modded a random robe in my inventory to use that model.

The fact that Varric is boobie height and I was wearing Beth's outfit made for some funny screenshots.

Edit: Such as this one.

I did it because I'm trying to avert the war that Anders tries to start. I kill those mages so that others don't end up suffering.

That said yes I would condone the templars slaughtering 6 years old if some of those 6 year olds turned into abominations (which they are perfectly capable of doing).

That said I can't really side with the mages and feel okay with it. The constant being swarmed by demons and the like made my eye twitch. What I really wanted to do was walk away and let them kill each other.

Edit: As for not being allowed to save some of the mages. I find that fine we only was able to save a handful of mages. Those that begged for mercy and Bethany. I sided with the templars to save lives not destroy every single one.

Again, it's the Right of Annulment, not the Right of Mostly-Annulment-but-we'll-spare-some-because-they-look-fine. Those six-year-olds must die regardless of whether they are threats or not - the Right demands that a Circle be entirely purged of mages.
Only killing the obvious offenders is what caused the Nevarran Circle to go crazy in the first place and what caused the Right to come into existence in the first place. Otherwise Wynne and the others would not have been locked inside, essentially waiting for death in the Ferelden Circle.

Yeah, you win.

And as for walking, if I were Hawke, I'd just ride on someone's shoulders.
I'm not the walking-all-over-Kirkwall kind of girl. I'm rather lazy. And soft and squishy.
So, I mean, I wouldn't be Hawke anyway....I'd be...random elf in the Alienage.

He just hates Fenris. I sincerely doubt he actually thinks he deserves to be given back to Danarius, he was just being spiteful because of their personal differences.

but giving him back is basicly the same as making him tranquil! There's no way anders would wish that on even Fenris

And in practice in both Fereldan and Kirkwall the law is bent to suit those in charge.Otherwise those mages wouldn't have been able to be spared.

Hmm, I would blow up all of Kirkwall if it meant the rebellion Anders tries to start doesn't advance beyond its walls because I expect the war that follows will be antithetical to reform. That's what my character was thinking when he sided with the Templars, not out of any particular love for the citizens of Kirkwall, but the known world as a whole.

I'm pretty sure Gaider made a post somewhere saying that non-violent mages could surrender and be spared from the Right. I'll see if I can find it.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Justice at that point was like "What's that? You don't think mages should be free? Well, maybe you shouldn't be free either. WHAT NOW JERKFACE"

And Anders, as mentioned, is a catty bitch.

Not that I have much room to talk, but then, that's why I try to stay out of these debates and talk about Sebastian MPreg instead.

I wish Hawke could go through and kill every child in Kirkwall, because it seems to me that there's about a 90% chance of them growing up to be a thief, smuggler, gangmember or assassin anyway.

Oh nice ridculous exaggerations.

Let's pretend the place wasn't being swarmed by demons and abominations.

Regardless that's not changing my mind. The issue isn't black and white and anyone who tries to get on a high horse just makes themself look ridculous.

And comparing an abomination which you can turn instantly into vs a smuggler and assassin which will take years of training at best is laughable. But do keep going it's amusing.

So... uh... you two going for a rivalry thing or something?

Unfortunately, though I do play on PC I am modding useless...  Maybe I can find a mod that adds something like this, if not I'll just have to figure it out.  I love you. Image IPB
