Imagine the "Does anyone here object?" part.
Justice would be exploding all over.

Oh god.

It'd be the drunk pirate wedding.

"Does anyone object" would have Hawke puking on his shoes and Justice freaking out.

Anyways it's pointless going on about this because frankly I am sick of constantly feeling the need to defend myself everytime I dare say a statement that goes against the norm here. I don't know why I feel the need to justify myself. So whatever you think of me keep on thinking it. I really don't care.

You don't have to defend yourself. You are not your opinions, you know. There is no reason to get this worked up and defensive over every little thing :innocent:

Justice: Kristoff was married and I was a part of him. Then the Warden gave me a ring. I am already married twice. I cannot get married again. All of this marriage is UNJUST!
Hawke: Tell me about it. <_<
Anders: *still oblivious and picking flowers for his bouquet*

Anders: We should get married.
Hawke: We should also battle a High Dragon with no clothes or armor on and absolutely no weapons.
Anders....
Hawke: What? You're obviously a fan of doing stupid things.
Anders: :crying:

Just gonna put this out there...

The drunk pirate wedding was the best.

I'M NOT ARGUING.
Because the minute I start arguing, I go and go and go and go until the person just admits I'm right, so I'm drawing the line RIGHT HERE.

There's not really much to argue. It's an etymologically correct term and what the developers say goes

The tension was already there and even if you burned Kirkwall to the ground, there was still going to be huge war.  I don't think anyone could contain something that had been building for a thousand years.

I don't think that's going to be relevant to every character, though.  You keep doing what you think is right, because you think it's right.

The fact that lots and lots of innocent people are going to die either way sort of makes the argument that, "Hey, innocent people are going to die!" as a counterargument to either particular choice rather pointless.

And that makes me unhappy, and it's one of those small things that would bother me.
Which would incite me to argue.
Which is something I don't want to do.

It's the only way my Hawke would get married.

He'd wake up, hungover, with Anders petting his hair and humming and OH GOD IS THAT A WEDDING RING. d:

I picture his eyes flashing glowy blue and back to brown over and over as Justice tries to /assumedirectcontrol and avert the crisis.

aww, my first Hawke would have married him. I think she knew even if it wasn't going to be easy or have a good ending (heck, the Grey Warden part alone promised that!), she wanted to be there for him.

Edit: Sarcastic Hawke would probably just go get another sammich :P

I'm still upset I can't turn around and leave.

I mean...Beth was dead, Hawke was a rogue (rich too), Carv was dead, Leandra was dead. Why not leave the mansion to Gamlen and leave?

Edit: I do wonder how much damage the city suffered.

The whole "ZOMG I'm a dangerous abomination" thing does put a damper on it, yes   That and "rebel mage" is not the best way to go about affording an engagement ring.

Hawke could afford it.

I mean, didn't Aveline get married in Hawke's estate or something?

Hawke is freaking loaded.

And in practice in both Fereldan and Kirkwall the law is bent to suit those in charge.Otherwise those mages wouldn't have been able to be spared.

Missed this one a couple of pages back, but we don't know if the mages in Ferelden would have been spared or not: to my understanding, our character wasn't killing anyone in that tower under the auspices of the Right. They were instead investigating the situation as a neutral party, and taking steps that they felt necessary. Greagoir was still waiting for the approval for the Right when our Warden showed up.
It's a bit of a murky situation - Warden or not, our character shouldn't have been allowed in - but to my knowledge it was all unofficial.

And everyone lived happily ever after. Well, hawke and Gamlen anyway since everyone else is kind of dead...

I wouldn't have thought him the type in Awakening. However, DA2 Anders seems to be super about commitment.

obsess over Hawke for 3 years> sleep with Hawke> immediately ask to move in with Hawke> ask Hawke to run away with him so they can be together forever (and have babies with him if it's lady Hawke)

EDIT: let's not forget Hawke can come off as super, duper, pro-commitment UNTIL THE DAY WE DIE!!!!!

Yeah, Greagoir was taking the opportunity presented by the Warden to use a more nuanced approach than his mandate allowed for.

Once the Right is invoked, it's all over basically.
