I now want a picture of Anders and Hawke in wedding dresses. Regardless of Hawke's gender.

They both have to be absolutely festoooooned in ruffles.

Hence why as I get more distance from the game, I like it less and less.  There's too little to care about and too much futility.  Hawke doesn't matter for **** in this scenario.

People sure do like to imagine the games are so different in terms of choice and impact because one had epilogue cards to hand-hold you through the process of figuring out which choices mattered.

Neither of my Hawkes allows Anders to live, so these conversations are always fun to watch - thinking of dead Anders.

I'm not sure if I'll ever come up with a third Hawke character concept... maybe.

There's a reason corpses are stiff.

My F!Hawke would marry Anders... she's such a romantic. Of course it might be hard to get someone to perform a marriage ceremony for the two most wanted mages in all Thedas :P

Same with mine. She's generally pretty rational, but when it comes to Anders,  she's all aboard the crazytrain.

I wouldn't have thought him the type in Awakening. However, DA2 Anders seems to be super about commitment.

OMG... Justice and babies. :blink::D

OMG Justice is 'reborn' as the soul of the baby

Here, something for you.

So it really doesn't matter what you do.  I can't see, even if you defend the mages, that any of them are going to survive anyway.

EDIT: let's not forget Hawke can come off as super, duper, pro-commitment UNTIL THE DAY WE DIE!!!!!

That's true.  Though I think the marriage hurdles are less about commitment and more about practicality.  Can you imagine Anders and Hawke trying to find a Chantry priest who will marry them instead of running away screaming post-Act 3?

pfft, who needs a priest? They have a pirate!

Heck, they can go back to Ferelden.  Alistair's a hopeless romantic.  I'm pretty sure a king can marry them. ;)

So they survive one battle in order to fight a war.  Great.

This is why we decided (a million pages ago) that if Hawke and Anders wanted to get married, it would have to be a crazy drunken pirate wedding. Isabela would officiate. A la, Pirates of the Carribbean: www.youtube.com/watch

The other option would be to have Merrill marry them. A very ****-the-Maker alternative to the Chantry, and she's got all the training as a Keeper, so she could probably officiate.

Rivalry's not bad.
It's not like DISAPPROVAL in Origins.
Where your companions will be like, "YOU KNOW WHAT, ****, I DISAPPROVE." and stomp off to do god-knows-what.
Leaving you one party member short, because you have to make everyone happy, I guess.

And btw, Kawamura.
You just ****ed up our group hug.
You get +50 Rivalry from me as well. <_<

Hey guys, when it comes to the post-boom part where you have to deal with Anders, if you've sided with the mages and tell him to go, does he come back?

Because I'm at that point and don't intend to kill him, but his sudden 'YAY LETS GO KILL TEMPLARS' reaction is... weird.

Yeah he'll be in the gallows. You can then tell him to leave or accept his help.

Woohoo!  Word of Varric!
And thus spoke Varric, and thus it was.  For he alone knew the truth of the Champion's tale and had the skill to tell it.

Plus I like the fire and brimstone!
