So wait, a few pages back someone said Justice convinced Anders to merge? Sorry I'm late. >_>

It seems like it was Justice that initially brough it up, but was for all intents and purposes a mutual agreement. I don't think Justice made any attempt to convince Anders.

Putting the jam knife in the butter is an injustice!  I would go raving mad if infested with a spirit that did that.  A place for everything, and everything in its place!  Graaaar!

If only Wynne had listened to Merrill. "ALL SPIRITS ARE DANGEROUS!!"

If only Merrill had listened to Merrill!  Cutie gives such good advice, but very seldom follows it.

Am I the only one dissappoint that it didn't matter how high your F/R was everyone was still willing tobetray you?

Also...what do you have to pick with Torpor to get that extra skill point? Is it knowledge?

Oh, very well.  I couldn't top anything Zevran said to Wynne, but I'm pretty sure I could top Zevran.  The man outright asks for it.  *nudge nudge wink wink*

yes, but anders DID agree. he was persuaded not coerced.

From the short story:

Suddenly it comes back to me. Justice's voice, my voice, speaking through the rotting face of the body he once claimed. "It is time. You have shown me an injustice greater than any I have faced. Do you have the courage to accept my aid?"

I knew what he offered.

Aha, gotcha. That makes me feel a little better. lol

Sometimes I felt for my Hawke, the companions never made it easy.

Anders: Hawke why are you helping her! She is using blood magic and consorting a demon!

Merrill: How is that different from you now?  I say what you did in the last fight.

Fenris: *Brooding in the back*

Hawke: By the Maker if you three don't shut up, I will turn us around and head back to Kirkwall!  Anders I am sleeping with an abomination so if I want to help Merrill slit her wrists I will! And fenris if you don't stop brooding your face will get stuck like that!

The first FMV where they're all standing at the gate as though they're ready to fight and then just let the templars roll right in. You'd think at the least they would've cast something instead of all standing there like gaping fish. The templars had to be in limited numbers, very close together and all had to go through that gate. A few paralyzing glyphs, glyphs of repulsion and some fireballs and they could've thinned their ranks. Instead they gape like fish. Or that Orsino would've had enough sense (he can take out a mini army of Qunari singlehandily but didn't think to spam fireballs at the chokepoint? Lolwut?) to do so.

If they're so scared it would make sense to avoid the entrance. And fall back with Orsino. Instead of standing there with their staves in hand like they're ready to fight, watching the templars come through the funnel and then when they finally reach the mages, the mages decide to react by attacking or running back.

And I'm not disputing them being smarter than the average commoner. They're just not the sharpest knives in the rack.

You know I felt like this too, but then I started to think about how much the mages were allowed to learn. There is of course free study, but a place that has a clampdown on the mages by the chantry may have not allowed the mages to learn how to cast protective and/or combat spells. It's just something I think about now and again. The worse part of dragon age is we don't really know much about the circle life. I mean is there a class called Defending yourself against agressors 101? Or Casting Fire Spells to Kill Instead of Lighting Your Fire 201? I'm talking about the tower mages purely not the ones who have escaped and seem to be everywhere all the time. Is it possible that the sheltered life in the tower made the shock of being attacked something that they were unable to process/handle? Also we can not forget that the templars had been searching out troublemakers and making them tranquil. Oops sorry. Anders may have been able to help some mages to learn to defend themselves but he couldn't help those he couldn't reach. See that I turned it back to Anders. Sneaky me! LOL

LOL.  It reminds me of the banter between Merrill and Aveline where Merrill talks about the Keeper telling them to stop pulling hair.  Hawke was so the big sister/mom figure in my game, telling everyone to STFU before she singed their pants with lightning.

Though Seb, Fen, and Anders are by far the worst combo.

Don't forget like the game developers did that templars can drain mages of mana and dispel magic.  Now I completely agree the mages should have been able nto hold such a choke point and were horrendously stupid, but with so many templars, they could probably manage to dispel incoming magic or any preprepared glyphs in the area without too much trouble.

There were times I just wanted to put them all in front of mirrors, or slap some sense into them, but alas Bioware knew if Hawke could un leash his or her badassery onto the party Kirkwall would have imploded.

Just like real friends. You love them to death, but other times you just want to smack some sense into them. <3
