The one I think of is "Everything you ever", from the end.  They both achieve their goals, and are none too happy. :(  Of course, Anders doesn't kill Hawkette, but mine died a bit on the inside at the end.

Also good. I had something else in mind, myself.

Haha. I might have to. I don't know when my ability to write reasoned arguments disappeared. Probably around the same time I made Swanders. I think the price I had to pay the universe for that one was that I would only ever be allowed to post effed up pictures.

The LadyxAnders mance raises the unappealing kind of alarm bells for me. Before you even know him he's all slapping you with patronizing warnings as if you didn't get the idea from the whole possessed and templar berserk button part, but in the ManxAnders mance you get eased into the crazy in a kind of awesomely creepy way where all of the sudden he's telling you I WOULD DROWN US IN BLOOD and you're like hehe o_o uh... oh.. this... uh.... THIS IS AWESOME, OW MY GUT.

Its almost... misleading of him, or a little self-serving, which I think compliments his later blackmail shenanigans.

Sadly, I have to agree with you there. Made worse by the fact that, unless you come on rather strongly, he's the one who flirts with you first and then almost runs away, screaming, "NO GO AWAY I'LL HURT YOU". And then gets jealous later on if you romance someone else. Maker's lip-piercing, man, be a little consistent.

There is no consistent pocket on the crazypants!  If I recall the description, the crazy pants have many pockets, one pocket for dynamite, and one for a map of the Chantry, but no pocket for consistent, rational thought.

This.
First, he's like, "I'll let you imagine being with another man....in as much detail as you fancy. Heh heh heh."
Then, Hawke is like, "Well, you're good-looking."
And then he's like, "NO DON'T GO THERE I'LL ONLY HURT YOU!"
WTF, dude? YOU WENT THERE FIRST! <_<

I get hit with the same discomfort during a f!Hawke playthrough, and you've pinpointed it well.

To be honest, I find I'm most at ease with m/m and f/f pairings for all 4 romance options in DA2. I'm sure it's a bit to do with me and my own preferences.

Tubedubber is... not the most reliable at putting videos to music. Moreso if you try to time them.

He doesn't really ever actively reject m!Hawke like he does with f!Hawke in act I. By Act II, it's mostly just "uhh, you know this is kind of a bad idea and I'm not sure why you're putting up with me, here's your last out if you want it". Then he brings on the ACHING FOR YOU FOR THREE YEARS creep.

Maybe this is why I didn't really notice it at first. My first playthrough I went in knowing I was going to romance Anders, and my Hawke had a complete lack of propriety anyways, so she was all "LOL NICE BODY OH AND SRY ABOUT YOUR FRIEND BUT NO REALLY DO ME", so it was actually kind of fitting that Anders would try to  be all "uhhh no this is a bad idea plz go away now"

It was definitely a bit jarring on subsequent Hawkes that were less...creepy. :?

I guess the moral of the story is, if you're a lady Hawke, go for broke and out-creep the creep, and everything is juuuuust fine.

The 'ACHING FOR YOU FOR THREE YEARS' was seriously creepy.  couldn't it have been a year?  that's much less creepy, or months?  But three years?  That's serious creeper going on there.

I like to think that it's because of the way Varric is telling the story and not what actually happened. It seems a little odd otherwise that all of the relationships between the characters stagnant for three years and then BOOM EVERYTHING HAPPENS AT ONCE.

It's not CREEPY!
He's just....devoted. To....Hawke....and their...you know...romance.
That didn't exist because she never even flirted with him.

Yeah...it was creepy.

I dunno, I try to ignore that.  It seems pretty creeper to me.  Unless of course the reason he's been aching for three years is becasue Hawke has been actively trying to seduce him for the last three.  Then it's completely understandable.

I think we can agree that it's all very creepy. Despite liking the backstory on Karl (and hate the I'll hurt you!, which I've decided could be him projecting because he's already developed feelings and he doesn't want to be hurt himself when Hawke, inevitably, realizes that dating a possessed dude kinda sucks), I do find it a strange that he goes from talking about the lover he recently killed to flirting with M!Hawke, whereas all he discusses with Lady Hawke is the whole Justice thing. So it's still creepy to me, but it's not vaguely sexist creepy.

Of course, if I wanted I could just keep to sarcastic in Act 1, get some defensive Justice action, and then start flirting in Act 2. That avoids the warning and jumps straight into being...drowned in blood. >.>

I so love the drowning in blood line. Seriously, the man is very, VERY creepy, but I like to think it's because Justice has completely buggered up the social interaction part of his brain (what there was of it, any way).

After it doesn't go so well, I can hear Justice consoling Anders with, "I thought it was rather sweet of you."

I think Anders freaking out on LadyHawke didn't bother me because it seemed to fit his character. He is prone to rather violent mood swings. So it felt like, he felt this intense, immediate connection with Hawke and he wanted to act on it- thus why he flirts. However, the intensity and immediacy of his desire scares him. He knows that strong emotion tends to send him out of control these days. So, being the crazypants that he is, he immediately swings in the opposite direction and tries to warn Hawke off.

Considering that throughout the rest of the game and romance he continues to be an emotional rollercoaster, it worked for me. I wasn't turned on by his "I WILL HURT YOU" spiel, but I wasn't turned off by it?

Well, at any rate, I guess I'm just saying it felt like the romance fit his character. It started to feel a bit more sexist when I realized he doesn't warn off manHawke with the same intensity. Ignoring that, though, it felt more like he was saying (validly) he was really dangerous and that getting with him would be a bad idea; not that he was saying he thinks ladyHawke is a delicate flower to be sheltered.

*feel free to ignore rambling*

That's probably what it is.
Or he's been avoiding deep relationships so much that he's unaware how socially unacceptable it is to perch outside someone's window.
And to be like, "I WOULD DROWN US BOTH IN BLOOD TO KEEP YOU SAFE!" when the other person really hasn't shown any interest.

It's creepier when male Hawke says, 'it's just that I've never considered...' and then he suggestively responds with, "I'll give you time to consider. In as much detail as you fancy" after killing his ex boyfriend. So much for tact, Anders.

As somebody once claimed, Anders is a man of opportunity.
And if you let him kill that one chick in "Dissent", he still ravishes you in his clinic afterwards.
I guess someone has to die for Anders to get...turned on?
Would explain the permanent dead body in his clinic.
