@Dunizel & Yami, thanks for your opinions. Lots of bells and whistles sounds like I'll feel left out if I don't upgrade, lol. Now I just hope I can get a student licence via my partner...:innocent:

I usually take a couple quests between "Dissent" and the start of the romance. Even if he doesn't kill Ella, he is still a complete wreck. It feels really weird to start the romance after that. So I give him some time to chillax a bit and then I let him snarf Hawke's face off.

I just start it right away. Since I'm standing there anyway.
So it's a good...twenty minutes after he went crazy (and possibly killed some girl) and Hawke is like, "Do you like me? Good, I like you. Why aren't we nekkid in my bed right now?"
I have to admit though...snarky/flirty Hawke is rather tactless, and totally started it.

I just pretend/assume time passed.  Could do quests in between, that would feel more "right", but I'm just too impatient as a player and want to get to the (pants).  BioWare gets to say 3 years passed between Acts, so I might as well.

No way, that wouldn't be him at all.

Moreover, I know he just killed Karl but...the way he talked about their relationship, it sounded like some old story. Sure they were still friends, but I don't think he felt something more for him now.
So yeah, Anders is totally free to flirt...even because I think at that time he is just half joking with you. 
Then he starts being vreepy, but yeah, that's Anders.

Well, it was mostly for my canon replay where I tried to get things just so. I also attempt to do it as a way to space out all the Andersy goodness. The first time I played I did everything Anders related immediately. Then I had to go through the rest of the Act without much Anders and it made me sad.

@Dunziel He says Karl was his first, and he was certainly not pining for some lost love in Awakenings, so I'm assuming the same, they were together in the Tower but not any more.

I'm not entirely sure.
I've done it with Aveline, Fenris, Varric, and Merrill and nobody has over-ridden him.

I never got the "bag of bones" comment the first time, and I definitely had Anders. I think my team the first time was... Anders, Varric, and Aveline? Granted, the first time I didn't do Gascard's whole blood magic thing. Maybe that changes who says what.
