I think that 2% of straight homophobic gamers should be exposed to as much gayness as possible, so when the initial horror and outrage fades they realise IT DOESN'T MATTER no digital gay man will reach out of the screen to grab their little straight peepees and turn them into rainbow unicorns.

Seriously, people tend to generalise, hate and hold prejudice against things they dont see EVER. I've had plenty of homophobicy straight friends go to the states for a few months - meet a crowd of awesome gay guys and come home to lecture me about how wrong prejudice is.

My point is, gayness should be in the mdia and in cinema and in games and it shouldnt be treated as anything different or special in order for people to get used to is and get over the shock stuff.

Indeed. If there IS in fact a neglected demographic it is the homosexual male since generally the big white straight guy who controls the world doesn't mind lesbian stuff (correction - straight chicks making out with other straight chicks - an actual RELATIONSHIP between women is disgusting obviously), because lolz chicks making out is hotz. Are there more gay men out there than men so homophobic they would refuse to buy a game because of gay stuff? I sure hope so! It would make me extremely sad indeed if it was the other way around. 

I believe what Bioware and EA are doing essentially is being smart enough to make a product desireable for as many social groups as possible - which I like to think is not just in order to make lots of money but also because it's about time games moved away from the old-fashioned hegemonic masculinity completely.

Now when you talk to the recruits they say Meredeth is showing her true batty colors and is rumored to be doing some wonky stuff to the recruits and some are never seen again. One being Karen...my question is was she using the blood mages to test them? Or did she simply think they were mages helping her quest to be the ultimate crazy in Kirkwall?

Or did I miss something completely?

Oh I don't think Meredith had anything to do with the mages and their plans. They were using their blood mage **** in the rose to brain-**** new recruits and send them to their secret werehouse where they'd attempt to put a demon inside of them. Other templars just assumed it was Meredith who was doing something to them because it was always new and inexperienced recruits that would go missing and she is a crazy woman.
