I actually got obsessed bored one day and stood Carver, Anders, and Hawke side by side.

I learned that Carver is taller than both, Anders is taller than Hawke, and Anders is a skinny little bastard.

Something about that is appealing.

I loved Alistair's build, and I love Hawke's "I'm a mage but still fit" build. But something about Anders being... thin is appealing to me.

This, very much so. Which is partly why I prefer DAA Anders. He was skinnier and had a thinner face.

Alistair's build isn't my favorite (still nice though!), but he won me over with everything else so it didn't really matter

Actually my sister loves the Alistair type build the most and i swoon for the Lanky ones (which she does not understand at all!). I always found that kind of interesting.

That's actually good to know for fic/art purposes actually. Although headcanon, Anders is this tall lanky mage.

I strongly suspect he's the type who doesn't take care of himself and will work himself to death in the clinic only remembering to eat until Hawke has to force food down his throat.

Maybe, I'm not sure. I think it depends a lot on the person in question and the person they're looking at.

Me? I love myself some beef cake men to stare at. Vin Deasel (I also like men who can pull off shaved heads), Dwayne Johnson, and the like.

But, show me the tinner, frailer, looking ones and I swoon too, so long as it "fits" I guess. Narrow jaw, exagerrated cheek bones, pointy features.

Yeah.

I actually have no idea what the point of this post was, other than to think about sexy men, apparently.

Whu? I'm confused now. I got the distinct impression he was thinner in Awakening...His face in particular.

I certainly don't want to mother him though. I'm just a sucker for skinny men. By contrast, I prefer women to be curvy, à la Salma Hayek, for example. Which I find to be an interesting difference.

Did that too... also because I was "bored".

But to be fair, every male human in Origins/Awakening had the same model.

There are subtle differences in DAII which is kind of neat. XD

But truthfully, I imagine Justice did have something to do with it. Justice didn't need to eat or sleep, so I'm sure Anders sometimes forgets to take care of himself.

I'm more of a fan of the DA2 look, it's the nose that does it for me. I'm a sucker for pointy noses.

Also DAA Anders looked a leeeeettle too much like a retooled Alistair model.

I really liked the Anders romance scene a lot, the ending bit on the bed especially, I thought it was a nice moment for the two. Although Anders's face as Hawke is leading him to the bed makes me giggle a bit, kinda looks like "Is this actually happening??" to me

i think i've always felt more of a protective edge then a mothering one. Like Hawke would drown them in blood to keep him safe.

Oh no, he's got huge arms and an Alistair torso. His face is more fleshed out too. I just played it so it really stood out.

He was more muscular in DAA because of his robes and his neck seemed...thicker. I don't know if that was actually the case, or if it was the result of his face being slimmer than most males, but he definitely appeared sturdier overall.

Of course, that didn't keep me from writing him as being lanky, but that's because I have a thing. A lankiness thing.
