This is why, despite my unrequited love for Arcade (gay) and Boone (Boone), Cass is my favorite FONV companion because she and the Courier sound like they keep on being awesome together well after the endgame, and that makes me way happier than it should. Also, her perk makes you better at being an alcoholic.

awww, they had such great people in that game. they really need to get on the LI train for their next game. apparently it's what the kids are into these days  

And yes, my Courier would have left Gannon feeling indifferent. At least boon would have been awesome.

Maybe this is what Bioware should with LIs for their future games. Instead of making them all fluid sexuality, they can make them all fluid gender. Player gets to pick what gender their companions are are the beginning of the game. Then no one can complain about be "force into teh gays"!


Except the straight male gamers who can't stop themselves from picking the penis icon, i guess.

I guess...even though I've not been a willing participant in any same sex relationships, my view on sexuality is very similar to Anders'. That being said, I am literally the only woman I know (excluding lesbians) who prefers f/f to m/m. Part of it, I think, is my own comfort levels with women in general versus men, but I also genuinely enjoy strongly written/characterized females and it's still fairly rare to see that in a medium such as...anything that isn't targeting women who love strong women. I love that I can play them, and I love that I can woo them.

I prefer f/f pairings generally for the exact same reasons you just posted.  The m/m pairings I like tend to be because I think they work well together and not because I think they are sexually appealing.

In relation to what we've been discussing, and gorgeous as the art is, seeing Anders as female does nothing for me. However, that icon of Fenris as female... my Hawkes would be all over that. Way more so than I am with him as a male.
