Given that the poster considers it to be a "plothole" that Anders didn't announce that he loves the **** to our Warden in DA:A, I'm not even going to bother to engage in debate in that thread. Basic logic and research on staff posts obviously aren't valued highly.

Nobody realizes. Anders was always all about the Hawke.  He just didn't know it yet! LOL

It's kind of annoying how Oghren's joke about templar rape is the end all-be all reason why Anders is straight. You don't have to be straight to be repulsed by the idea of some guy's 'sword' being shoved into you.

Seriously. That comment made me say "Ew." But wait, I'm a straight female. I don't like the idea of some Templar shoving a "sword" somewhere so I must not really like men. <_<

I honestly don't get the Templar thing too.  I mean I thought Anders said ew as in it went to far, because like you guys have said who wants a sword up their arse?

This is kind of why I don't want to post. I would like to post a well reasoned argument, but I'm in a cruddy mood and I don't want to come off as a raging troll.

If someone would like to add good, well thought remarks though, I think it would be nice. It would be good to show that there is a logical progression from his Awakening character to who he is in DA2.  It shouldn't be too hard to argue since we've gone over this a lot in this thread.

Seriously, I don't get all this people triumphantly throwing about statistics that DAII is not doing well as proof of their complains, as if they want it to sell badly. What do they think will happen? If DAII fails it will not mean that Bioware will go back to making old school RPGs, it will probably mean that they'll be forced to abandon the DA franchise altogether. >_<

That is so true. Extreme hating on the game isn't gonna accomplish anything positive. I'm sure BW knows by now what they did right and wrong and people's opinions in general.

I wouldn't worry about them abandoning the DA franchise though, they seem to be already working on DA3. And besides, while DA2 isn't selling as well as DA:O, it's hardly a flop either. I'm about 90% certain we'll get DA3 by holiday season 2012, if not sooner.

I gave up. Too much facepalm. These people are probably not worth getting a slap on the wrist for as they don't appear to be up for reasoned debate.

I didn't even know there were people who could hate him....what did he do?

There is a bazaar amount of Kaidan hate. That he is gay, boring, whiny, etc. I was stunned when I seen the level of hate. I was like, "are we playing the same game here?"

I can see where the Anders hate come from. He isn't the same as he was in DA:A, he is drepressing, he blew up the Chantry, blah blah blah. But I can step back and see what a beauitfully bittersweet story it makes!! I know no matter what it is going to end badly for Anders, regardless if he lives or not. But omg it pulls every heartstring I have. I'm a big fan of hard luck cases and we don't get much more hard luck then Anders.
