Can I just say that I love that you guys are willing to have a sensible, sane discussion about mental illness and relationships as applied to a video game character? It gives me hope when something like this can be discussed without it immediately devolving into jokes. It will later, and that's fine, but at least we showed that we can take it seriously too!

No problem, this is the Anders thread, where we love him for all that he is, even the depressing bits, and then festoon him with ruffled dresses and kittens!
That said, if you'd ever like the understanding ear of a *relative* stranger, I'm happy to offer.

Well I'm not saying it's consensual, but let's not forget what she did with the chasind men. She does need her daughters.
Which brings me to an interesting point. How could would it be in a future instalment we ended up meeting another one of her daughters? Morrigan's successor maybe.

But...almost all those characters can be female.
I wouldn't mind it. As long as her daughter didn't try the "she's trying to steal my body!" lie.

Well.. I do expect BW to make us run into Morrigan's Old God baby. Just looking what what we've seen so far..
You find out it's a boy, and then in DA2 after hearing Sandal's prophecy.. Seriously, I'm donning a tinfoil hat at this point.

If they were female, they could work as daughters instead
And was that actually a lie though?

Oh...my...God...I TOTALLY forgot about Morrigan's baby! The prophecy makes sense now...at least to me.

I don't think Morrigan's baby is canon. I doubt it'll ever be mentioned again TBH.

I found this awesome fic that tells the story of friendmance from Justice's POV. It's awesome but utterly heartrending. http://dragonage-kin...778992#t7778992

It's only canon if you did the DR.
silver-crescent wrote...
Yeah but what I mean is, not everyone did the DR, so I thought the gob baby is ever gonna be a huge plot ploint, unless they decide to make him exist regardless of DR or no DR, which would be pretty lame.

Thanks. I guess it's been too long since I unloaded this stuff on my friends and so it's gotten dumped onto all of you guys. But this thread is full of awesome supportive people.
That said, I'm all for festooning Anders a bit to cheer him up. Or giving him a basket of kittens.
Edit: oh, and no it didn't sound creepy. Like I said, you guys are great and I really appreciate it. The only person on this thread I assume by default is a creeper is Anders... and he's of the loveable variety.

I really do hope that BW finds a workaround with people not taking the DR, it's way too awesome of a plot point to be dropped.

Maybe Bioware can say she went to Riordan if the Warden refused the DR? I know, highly doubtful and all, but that's the first thing that came to mind.

Wouldn't make sense.
If she had managed to do the DR regardless the Warden shouldn't have gotten a funeral.
