Yeah, I was agreeing that it was possible- in a few different ways- to get an at least mostly happy end in DA:O. Even running off with Anders, though, is bittersweet at best. Unless there is some magical future DLC of them living on a kitten farm and the kittens cure Anders of the taint and make Vengeance into Justice again... or something

I have 9 Hawkes too, but not all of them are finished. I also possibly might have a huge table that has all their decisions, personality, the order in which the quests were done, and the dialogue choices they've chosen in key conversations...

Anders = Sirius

Fave DA2 character = Fave HP character.

I'm on my fourth and fifth. One's my canon warrior who I'm writing about and she's in Act 3 and the other is an F!Mage whom I don't really care that much about. She's barely recruited Anders and already doesn't like him.

I love DA2, the story and the characters, but I realized that I require a the right kind of roleplay mindset when I go in. With Origins, I could just make a pretty Warden and figure it out as I went along. DA2 is too meandering for that. Besides Bethany/Carver dying and Hawke's relationship with the remaining sibling, Act 1 doesn't really give me a lot to work with.

I'm on my 7th canon character playthrough. I have like, three other just for the hell of it PTs. My canon goes Anders every time

I just can't get enough of this game. All the different Hawke personalities, and the friendship/rivalry options with the companions really make each playthrough pretty unique and interesting. Now, on some of those, I have skipped quite a few sidequests, etc. So it's possible for me to do a playthrough in about 20 hours, though I prefer not to do it so quickly. 

I always save my head canon playthrough for last, and I thought my current Hawke might be it, but nope. I'm going to have to roll at least 1 or 2 more.

Wow, I feel so unaccomplished. I only have 3 Hawkes, and one is just a remake of the first one since the first one was so buggy and I didn't have good saves. So it's:

2HWHawke/Anders
ArcherRogue/probably Izzy
2HWHawke again/Anders

The rogue is my only male so far, and probably the only one I'll make. He's stuck in act 1, poor guy. I like him, but it's hard to compete with wanting to play him and wanting to replay my canon Warrior Hawkette. I'm sure eventually I'll make more Hawkes but I'm too obsessed with my canon Hawke. I also want to romance more of the LIs, but if it's anything like ME with most of my Sheps going to Garrus, most of them will end up with Anders. At least in ME I wasn't allowed to romance Garrus as my manShep so I could successfully follow through with a different romance.

The max amount of playthrough I can see myself doing is 5. But 4 is more realistic, that way I can do 2 guys and 2 girls, try the 4 main romances, and experience all the possible plot outcomes (though truth be told even after multiple playthroughs, there are some options I just never take, like killing Anders, or letting the sibling die in the Deep Roads).

Fenris's romance is so simple and sweet. It's completely different from Anders's.

Really great hearing about everyone's playthroughs!

@surelyforth: that's interesting to me that your mageHawke doesn't like Anders, it was kinda the opposite for me. In my first playtrhough I played a mage and she was infatuated. My second playthrough was as a rogue and she frequently found herself wanting to say "Anders ENOUGH!!" with his magemagemagemagemagemagemage talk (especially when her mother died, his comment of "I can't believe a mage would do this" she felt like pulling her hair out at that). That all might be in part though that she was romancing Fenris since my rogue mHawke only had eyes for Anders and didn't find his mage talk grating.

In my current playthrough I *finally* managed to get the jealous banter between Fenris and Anders "Hurt her and I'll kill you". Part of me was feeling Squee!! while the other part felt very sad for Fenris actually... d*mn you Bioware for toying with my feelings!!

This is pretty much me, too. I've got a tonne of Hawkes, but they all end up being more or less the same. All my female Hawkes end up with Anders, and my male Hawkes end up taming Isabella. I've tried the Fenris thing, I just acn't get into it enough to stick it out. 

Truthfully, Varric, Izzy and Anders are the only 3 companions that don't end up drivng me completely batty after extended periods of time. Well, and Bethany, but she hardly counts 'cause she's dead or gone.
