Pretty much. I'm just sitting here imaging BioWare sitting in an evil-overlord-chair laughing manically as countless Anders fans are ultimately destroyed by what he does, crushed by the ending, and then break into tears during credit music.
BioWare is evil. Why do I keep coming back?
We're all masochists. >.<
Now that I think about it... I really haven't played a game that's left me this much of an emotional wreck by the end of the game. I mean with DAO I got a pretty good ending (Alistair+Anora married, my Warden's chancellor) and by the time I went through my next playthrough I already knew what to do to get even more happy endings. But DA2... I think the closest I've felt this bad was with Silent Hill 2 and maaaybe Majora's Mask.

In somewhat unrelated news, we just turned a Templar into a mage.

Have to agree. The worst thing my Warden did in Origins is like tea-time now. "Oh boo hoo, the man you loved had to sleep with another woman to save both your lives! Suck it up!"
But overall, Origins left me with a happy feeling when the credits started rolling.
Even Mass Effect, which had me raging near the end because I thought I was going to get a 'rocks fall everyone died' ending left me feeling rather good afterwards.
But DAII. It's funny really, because I went into the game thinking I wouldn't like it. I was on the "Mass Dragon Effect Age II" bandwagon. I'll admit though that after playing it, and letting everything sink in, it's going to get raised to a very prominent position in my list of favourite games.
The absolute, gut-wrenching depression that it caused me after the end was so new and terrifying, I loved it. Pretty sure I was wide-eyed, teary-eyed and going, "That's... it? But... but.... WHERE"S MAH HAPPY ENDING! Q.Q"
And everytime I think I'm good, I think about something else that happened in the game and realize something else, and I go back to feeling sad.
I need to go play like, Hello Kitty Island Adventure or something to get a happy back.

Man the whole Dark Ritual thing, if you're playing a dude Warden it's not even that much of a hard decision.
Also I just went to look up all of the lyrics for credits song and uh, yeah, TOTALLY AN ANDERS SONG.

I can't be the only one who lamented over the DR. Not because of the sex but because of giving someone as socially awkward as Morrigan a child to raise. That to me was a true crime.
Ra only knows what the Warden may have unleashed on the world. What Hawke did may end up being child's play.

Given how OGB is only canon in certain playthroughs and therefore unlikely to be touched on in future games unless Bioware does some major retconning, newp, I don't think we'll be seeing much follow up on that.

I... don't like children, so I didn't really care about Morrigan raising a kid. I was horrified about Alistair sleeping with Morrigan.
After getting over that, I was terrified about what exactly this old-god-demon-baby would end up doing. That said, if my Warden ended up destroying the world in the name of love, well, it was worth it.

Consider how BW has no problem with Leliana coming back I don't exactly hold any true "oh they wouldn't retcon that." feelings.
That said I do think it'll play a role in future games. Maybe it'll be replaced by something else if you didn't do it but I still have a feeling it'll have an impact. It's just too ominous to me otherwise.
