If my friends didn't think I was a fangirl, they do now xD

My husband is totally judging for me all how giggly I get when it comes to this game. Really, he shouldn't be too surprised. I totally gushed about DAO and the ME games when those came out.

My husband is the one who got me into these games so he knows he can't say anything to me, I just point out it's his fault Image IPB

We're both gamers, he's just more of an console gamer and I'm a pc gamer. Neither of us have room to judge really, as we both met through an MMO years ago.

But I definitely take it to the fangirl level, though I try to keep it toned down around people unless we're talking about games.<_<

Edit for top-ness.

What have I woken up to? I've not even going to try to catch up with this crazy and instead just jump right in with this little gem I never expected to share in here.

*snipped awesome*

That's incredibly appropriate considering today's insanity. XD

It is, and what happened, did my posting pics of Greagoir stop the madness?  He's not that scary!

I think we finally settled on the cast roles.
Harry - Hawke
Ginny - Anders
Ron - Carver
Hermione - Bethany
Hedwig - Dog
Dumbledore - Irving
Grindelwald - Greagoir

Love the picture. I want a "snuggles with Anders while the world burns" emote for Hawke in-game.

I can't be the only one who lamented over the DR. Not because of the sex but because of giving someone as socially awkward as Morrigan a child to raise. That to me was a true crime.

Ra only knows what the Warden may have unleashed on the world. What Hawke did may end up being child's play.

No, you are not the only one.  It has the potential to be one of the worst things that has ever happened in Thedas.  It's not my canon playthrough.  My canon has the Loghain redeemer as taking the killing blow. I only did the Dark Ritual one time.  It's a wholly selfish choice and there's nothing wrong with choosing to preserve your life (or the life of the one you love or your best friend), it just doesn't feel like it's right.

I agree, Morrigan as a mother is...scary.  Let's not even forget the fact that we just don't know enough about what causes the taint exactly or what the Old Gods are even are.  It has too much negative potential.

As the world burns... wow I really love some of these pics you guys put up. Tuck that away for later.

/wistful sigh

I am lurking all over the boards while I should be working on research papers. It's becoming a problem but I can't tear myself away!

My first thought was the same as yours.

My second was "wtf she didn't help him with his Act 3 quest."

Also, that image really makes me want to see Anders as Nero, playing his lute while Kirkwall burns.

Hmm... as I recall I only went through with the dark ritual once. I also killed myself once (as Tabris), and the other times I made Alistair or Loghain kill themselves.

All the while screaming "I am so sorry!!!" :crying:

My Amell was simply full of epic fail. Jowan would have done a better job! :pinched:

I did it because DA's story is ultimately about Thedas, not my characters, and I deliberately set up an Amell Warden whose good intentions inadvertantly cause a lot of trouble, and a ruthless maleficar revolutionary Hawke who wants to see the established order burn.  Maximum plot hook/trouble potential FTW

You can't have been any worse than my Amell.
She sold out Jowan, let the Templars call the right of Annulment, refused the DR out of selfishnness and sent Alistair (her lover) to his death because she was too frightened to die.

Seeing how Anders turned out, I would not be surprised if she was considered my canon playthrough. :pinched:

Yeah, I'm very selfish. I did the other endings for the achievements, but in every "canon" run I did the DR. Plus, I made Al do it every time (even with a male Warden) because he might not have a child otherwise and the throne's going to need an heir. It was very pragmatic, in my eyes.

My Amell probably messed up the world so much, but in a way, he sort of meant to do it.

I'm not sure if any of my other Wardens can beat out my City Elf male for hilarious political fail. He told Alistair to marry Anora, and then wanted him to make a demon baby with Morrigan so there would be an heir to the throne. Can you imagine the reincarnated archdemon being ruler of Ferelden? xD

To be honest, I think I've worked out why Dragon Age is apparently the spiritual successor to the Baldur's Gate series.

I see many parallels between characters...
Minsc: Righteousness and Justice! And Boo!
Anders: Justice! and Ser-Pounce-a-lot!

Fenris - Kivan:
Broody elf with anger management issues

Branwen and Aveline.

Coran and Zevran
Manwh*re elves FTW

Sebastian and Anomen
Spell "annoying zealot"

Remember: Xan saw this coming. "We are all doomed!"

I constantly pick the DR too which I find a bit off because my canon and dear to my heart playthrough (that regretfully was deleted) was my US game. God that game was a whirlwind. I played a male who was close friends with Morrigan, Mr. Self Sacrifice and at the end that's exactly what he did...Anora was queen and Alistair got to remain a Warden. He beat himself up over his families death the whole time.

And then seeing Fergus at the funeral and I broke down. I never cried so hard because of a game before.

But origins had a way of making me cry. Evil game it was.

Awesome, isn't it? And he would probably be the first mage king of Ferelden too.

Hehe me too! A weak weak woman.... In my defence I knew about the DR but not about logain my first playthrough so when I had a chance of recruiting him i thought "*gasp* i recruit loghain he kills archdemon and dies and alistair doesnt have to bang morrigan - all win yay:D" and then Alistair went mental and yelled the worst thins anyone has EVER said to me and totally blackmailed me emotionally until I was screaming NO ALISTAIR DONT GO IM SO SORRY at the screen. So yeah... the Warden told her LI to hit the witch, hid under a blanket and cried. :crying:
