In my headcanon, yes Hawke and Anders are too busy trying to avoid the templars to do any real work with the rebellion at the start, but Hawke's always been very pro-mage. So eventually when the templars/whoever else give up the chase to focus more on the rebellions that are breaking out I suspect they'd be going from Circle to Circle, trying help the mages break free.

Also I like to believe in my own twisted little world, that because Alistair is so sympathetic towards mages, that he's seeing a MAJOR flood of mages going into his country. With Amell at his side, he could form like, a mage army and conquer the world!

I think the mage army needs a special squad made of spirit-possesed cats. They make excellent spies, anti-stress toys and templar assasins.

lol.
The Kitty-Army, here to handle all your apostate-army needs. XD

I support the kitty army. I shall make it part of my head canon now.

I'm going to post more Greagoir pics if people don't start posting.

How's THAT for a threat!

Should I be glad or sad that I missed this Greagoir thing?

Alright guys, theoretical question time!
For those who allowed Anders to live, how involved do you see him being in the mage uprising that followed in your Hawke's canon?

I know various people have him going into hiding or running away with Hawke and Izzy in their head canon, but for the others, do you see him as being involved in organising the rebellion, assisting escapees and fighting against the templars?
Or do you think (in your own stories) that his big moment was in Kirkwall and what follows is him laying low and staying out of trouble, and perhaps doing some real research into his condition?

ETA: And for those who are pro-mage but still killed Anders, how involved do you imagine your Hawke was in the uprising?

Others have put it far more eloquently than I can, but in my Hawke's canon, Anders/Justice would not sit back or try to hide, I can't see him being able to not get involved and fight against the Templars and my Hawke wouldn't want to stand back either. But then I friendmanced him and that ending seems to suggest that Anders/Justice are now more fully merged. I think perhaps it would be different for a rivalmance? I've not tried this path yet (waiting for the bug to be fixed) but it's been my impression that there's more of a dissonance there for Anders where he is still trying to fight against his inner drive fueled by Justice/Vengeance to right all the wrongs against mages, maybe in that instance he and Hawke would be less involved? Not sure. But for my current canon, they're fighting the templars side by side.

Jennifer Hepler replied to my PM (the one I mentioned yesterday about Anders's mental state, his relationship with Justice etc). I'll post it here later, assuming she agrees to it.

I'd got mine hiding out in caves a lot (Izzy vanished in my canon playthrough, still not sure whether to redo that or not), and both of them trying to mentally hold together whilst staying alive...not exactly superfun happy times. Later though, I'd got him acting as a healer mostly, still on the move, whilst Hawke did most of the helping mages on the quiet. She was determined that she wasn't going to let him get caught, even if it meant putting herself in danger. He was determined that she wasn't going to be in danger, so there was a fair amount of intense arguments at times.

It always amazes me how the Bioware staff are so willing to answer questions. I mean, yes, sometimes Gaider's a bit of a troll, but he's got NOTHING on the Blizzard team.

Oh definitely aiding escapee's and fighting against the templars. It's my head cannon that Anders and Hawke run an underground railroad of sorts to Ferelden, with Izzy of course suppling the transportation across the Waking Sea, then Docking somewhere between Highever and Amaranthine then leading the refugees into either the Brecilian Forest or to the FrostBacks to hide in the Southern Dales (the Arbor Wilds). Thedas Map Here

My logic is that Alistair is hiding mages from the Chantry, so aid and free passage would be more likely with his help. This is of course after Hawke, the Warden Commander(the hell she disappeared) rip him a new one, and then make him swear to pay back his atrocitie by actively helping those he endangered. Alistair agrees simply because he knows Anders won't try anything under the watchful eyes of both Hawke and the WC, and maybe Sigrun too, since I have titled her "Pounce's Mommy" (headcannon she takes care of Pounce) don't ask

Hopefully my cramping grogginess didn't totally kill what I intended to write, Midol does NOT help...I know TMI..:wizard:

Well just waiting for her to agree. I'll post it tomorrow probably. Stay tuned :P

This thread kept me up until like 5 AM yesterday, I better leave now cause I don't want that happening again.

In the playthroughs I have with my Hawke running off with Anders they are making their way towards  a more mage friendly country and being helped along the way by people who are pro mage and other free mages.

They are also dealing with fighting Blood Mages who want absolute power and thats when Anders sees the repercussions of his actions.

I think this war is going to be

Anti Mage/ Pro Mage  but then its going to turn to fighting Blood Mages.

When my Hawe disappears...Anders does too....  :wizard:

They end up imprisioned in a Castle where they encounter my warden/Alistair and even Marric and they all realize they have a connection to Flemeth and have all played a part in what is happening to Thedas. :)

Now I feel bad. I don't want to be a dick but it wouldn't be right to just post it without consent either.

You could at least tell us if what she told you was hopeful and close to what we all assume or extremely dark and depressing D: Do you feel better about the Anders/Justice thing after some clarification? I'll be happy with knowing just that.
