So I just got the conversation with Anders about Fenris in the Justice quest.

Anders: So maybe it's not my place, but blah blah Fenris blah blah more like a wild dog.
Hawke:  You just don't know him.
Fenris: *snipes at Anders*
Anders: *snipes back at Fenris* Surely you want someone more open-minded.
Hawke:
Fenris: Mage and a hypocrite blah blah.
Hawke: *considers knocking their heads together*

But this Hawke's been his buddy for seven years. She didn't even flirt with him! So he's spent the last however many years hoping she'll dump Fenris for him?

That's kind of sad. And creepy.

I'm just kidding, of course. I'd love to see more 'Anders writing' scenes myself. Particularly since I can't seem to bring myself to do the rivalmance. Or rival friendship. Or rival... anything involving him, really.
I got the impression that he only thought he was working on his manifesto, and what he really had was twenty pages of nothing but "ALL WORK AND NO PLAY MAKES JACK A DULL BOY".

I've done friend and rival just to see what the dialogue is like.  He's actually *adorable* when he's reading the manifesto to Hawke on the rival path. My f!hawke warrior just wanted to scoop him up and hug him.
I have to say that after three romances M!Hawke Mage friendmance was my favorite. Though dangit I wish you could get the puppy eyed manifesto reading on all romances

edit: oh yah and if you want to use the feather remember Anders' safe word is kitten

Maybe it's not what he meant - If I remember correctly, he don't actually offer himself when you tell him that Fenris dumped you.
Or he could be a creep. That seems likely too

It's to BioWare's credit that despite all the memes and lulz, and me playing certain cutscenes over and over again, the endgame sequence for The Last Straw still has the power to make my jaw drop.
