Can we not all just hug and admit that everyone has a different opinion and stop making these ridiculous comparisons that hold little to no weight in the context of the story.

Why? It's more fun this way? :P

Flame war will scare all the kittens away!

Okay, you all missed the irony in my last comment. Though I do have to say that no one seems to understand that the First enchanter of Kirkwall knew the mage that killed your mother, but refused to say anything about it. Maybe if he proved a little willing to help things the templars would have overthrown the Knight Commander earlier. Oh by the way the Knight Commander is acting the way she is because of a magical artifact that has increased her paranoia.

I am not here trying to change opinions by the way. I am just trying to show the other side of the coin to you. I have seen you side and was ready to fight with Anders to the death to free the mages. Then he has to go off half cocked without getting advise.

Uh... he's a mage and a doctor.  Not a tactician.

1) I don't believe you know the proper use of that word.

2) WHAT REALLY? Meredith was going crazypants because of the lyrium idol! **** SON I never figured that out.

3) This otherside of the coin seems to be lacking in evidence or even relevant points.

We're quite well aware of the "other side of the coin" views you're talking about. That's why I spend my time in this thread.

You think we think all Templars are evil boogie men perhaps? Or that we think the Circles should only be overthrown if every one of them is like Kirkwall? Honestly, I'm not sure of the point your making.

However, you're wrong about Meredith. Sorry. When you first come to Kirkwall you are told that Meredith is the power in Kirkwall. No one dares oppose her.  This is long before she ever gets the idol. Also before she ever gets the idol, we are told she "sees demons in every corner." She got more extreme after she got the idol, but she was always blood mage crazy and power hungry. It's hinted that she might have even killed the previous Viscount because he tried to kick the Templars out of Kirkwall.

Everyone's also ignoring the point where she's supposed to be unduly harsh to the Templar recruits, too.  Sure, Cullen says the rumor mill is full of it.... but the new recruits are still terrified of her.

Regardless of the cause of Meredith's paranoia, that doesn't change the fact that people were suffering.

We had the Orsino debate, and not all mages are blood-mages. Not all blood-mages turn into looneys.

Kirkwall needs Irving and Greagoir.

See at no point have I seen this as a I win you lose type discussion. Therefore when I saw that we would have to agree to disagree on certain points, I moved on. I honestly only wish to express I different view point here. I have different ideas about things and read things differently then most people. I could break down every little point that I believe proves my arguement, but let's be honest with each other. You guys would find something that you believe shows that I am wrong. And then I would need to find something the I believe proves you wrong. That is how flame wars start. So, if you want to feel like you are winning go head. When I go to sleep tonight I will not be bothered by any of this.

Eh... to be fair, if Jowan is found to be a blood mage, and escapes, the situation for the entire Circle gets worse.
Orsino was an idiot in the end.

And the Zombie-Wynne necroboners.

Do you honestly think that none of us have ever seen a different, negative side to Anders' actions?  That we're just whitewashing his crimes out TWUE WUV?  Do we LOOK that dumb?  We didn't get to over 1K pages in a month with kitten shots and shirtless mages, dude.  We've fought and argued and ****ed out our frustrations over this character for the last month.

You're not "informing" us of a damned thing we haven't already discussed.

Whereas when I go to sleep at night, I totally weep about what happens on a message board. And I cut myself over Anders. :crying::crying:
No. Not really.
