[Dreaming-in-Shadow]

I am going to record all of this story in a Word document, and keep it forever. It is the most beautiful piece of literature ever written.

Don't think so. I suggest recording them all in a document. Just in case (also, you can read the entire story even without the internet. )

Once the tents and other supplies had been packed up, the ever growing company set off into the forest. Varric seemed to think riding an Alicorn would make Bianca jealous, so he opted to walk. Fenris loped at a distance, but shot dirty looks at Merrill occasionally. The squirrel sat oblivious of the glares from her perch on Garrett's shoulder. Isabela decided to ride behind Marian on her Alicorn. The Alicorn seemed a bit nervous at the prospect of having two riders. Luckily Isabela had plenty of experience with nervous Alicorns and was able to put him at ease.

They set a slower pace with the Alicorns so that Varric could keep up but still made good progress through the Necroboner Forest. Marian and Garrett couldn't help but gape at the scenery. They had never seen anything like this forest. It was awe inspiring, but they weren't sure if they should tell their younger brother and sister about it should they ever return home.

The Hawke twins got so caught up in the scene around them that they didn't even notice that an old woman had appeared on the road in front of them. It was actually Merrill's awed gasp that caught their attention first. They watched the squirrel jump from Garrett's shoulder and scamper down the road. Merrill bowed at the woman's feet.

"Zombie Wynne of the Necroboner Forest. I am humbled to meet you at last," Merrill said in a wavering voice.

"Now child, no need to bow to me. I merely wanted to greet the first pair of Alicorns to pass through these woods in an age," the old woman replied.

Varric smiled in triumph. "What did I tell you?" he said. "She can't resist the Alicorns."

Zombie Wynne ignored the dwarf and strolled up to each of the Alicorns. She smiled at the handsome beasts but glared at the riders.

"You better not hurt the Alicorns. They might seem strong, but they become very attached to their riders," she warned.

"I would never hurt the Alicorns," Marian said.

From behind her, Isabela smiled. She wasn't intimidated by any witch, no matter how many necroboners the witch had made.

"All the more reason for more of us to ride the Alicorns," she purred. "Perhaps we should even switch."

Zombie Wynne pursed her lips but held back further rebuke.

"I will leave you with a final warning, travelers. The far end of the wood is full of shameboners. If you're not careful, it can be easy to get lost in them. There is quite a mess of them."

And with that ominous proclamation, Zombie Wynne vanished. The Alicorns neighed sadly at her departure but continued on at a gallop when Marian and Garrett squeezed their sides with their thighs.

*I don't even know how to explain to my husband what I've been doing all day, hahaha*

I've been saving it all in a document as I go. I'm sure some day it will be discovered on my computer and bite me in the ass. That or, if I ever have children, they'll find it after I die and then disavow all knowledge of me.

That's a shame. I was really looking forward to little brother giving me hells over my romantic decisions.
