Nah, you'll be able to say 'Once upon a magical time, I spent an entire day making people all over the world very very happy, and there were cookies, and rainbows, and Anders.'



And then you'll have to explain Anders, and they'll probably laugh at the graphics being so out of date, and you'll feel old and cranky, but such is the way of life.  One day they too will have their children shocked by their equivalent of Dungeon Master or Temple of Apshai.

So did you guys come accross any extra Anders dialogue post patch? I've noticed quite a few lines I think weren't showing up before, nothing Anders related though.

I haven't as yet, nope.  I've had some dialogue I didn't see on the previous two runs but that could just be luck and companion choices I think.

Eventually Varric had to relent and take a turn on the Alicorns. Bianca left little room for another rider, though. Thankfully Fenris was a large enough wolf for Garrett to ride on him instead. Fenris wouldn't abide having Merrill along for the ride, though, so she wiggled in between Marian and Isabela instead.

With everyone finally riding, the group made better time. Before they hit evening, the edge of the forest had come into sight. As Zombie Wynne had warned, the thick tangle of Shameboner trees slowed their progress. The road was overgrown and they had to pick their way carefully to avoid tripping over them. Fenris and the Alicorns leaped gracefully over one final, fallen Shameboner in order to pass out of the forest at last.

The huge Circle Mountains blocked out most of the final rays of sunlight. A cold wind blew down from their frosty peaks. It would have been disheartening if not for the glow of a nearby village nestled at the foot of the mountains. The company sped up, eager to get a hot meal and a bath to wash off the grime they'd accumulated by brushing against the Shameboners.

They road up to the Inn at the center of the village. Varric gave a few coins to the stable boy, Sandal, to ensure the Alicorns were well cared for. With that taken care of, the group went into the Inn to inquire after food and rooms.

"Everyone is staring at me," Fenris growled.

"Of course they are," Isabela replied. "You're a wolf. They're afraid you might eat someone. Keeps their eyes off those of us that will actually eat them."

Fenris just shook his shaggy head while Isabela laughed.

"Did I miss something dirty?" Merrill chirped from Marian's shoulder.

"No Daisy," Varric said. "Now let's find something to drink. I could really use a pint after that absurd forest."

*dying... need to eat dinner but... must struggle... to finish...*

Everyone agreed to Varric's suggestion of drinks. They all downed a pint before their food even got to them. By the time they finished dinner, everyone was good and drunk. Even Fenris had been provided with a bowl of wine and Merrill drank from a thimble provided by a very confused innkeeper. When dinner was finished, the whole party started a chant demanding cookies and cake. They ended up getting loud enough that the innkeeper had to call in the village's only guard to calm them.

The imposing red head stomped up to the raucous group and scowled. No one noticed the guard until she decided to drop her shield into the middle of their table.

"Hey! Watch the drinks," Isabela protested.

"You lot will need to think of something other than drinks if you don't want me to drag you outside," the guard warned.

Marian flashed a conciliatory smile. "We'll be heading to bed soon enough...?"

"Aveline," the guard provided.

"Aveline," Marian repeated with a smile. "As I said, we're finished here. We have an early morning."

"What exactly brings such an... eclectic group to my town?" Aveline asked, pointedly ignoring the naked twins seated in front of her.

"We're going to free the princesses from the tower!" Merrill responded with barely contained excitement.

"And I've come to make sure they don't do just that," Fenris said.

"I'm just here for the free drinks," Isabela chimed in.

"The princesses?" Aveline said, disregarding Isabela completely. "I heard about that. They were taken under my watch. I wanted to bring in the one responsible, but I couldn't do it by myself. Perhaps I can offer my services."

"And just what services are those?" Isabela asked with a waggle of her eyebrows.

"We'd be happy to have you," Garret said. "We'll be leaving tomorrow morning."

"I'll give you time to sleep off your hangovers," Aveline said with a light smile. "Now off you all go, or I will throw you out of town."
