Just kidding. It's probably more cries about how he's the only healer available and all that, despite the fact that you can get by on just potions and proper tactics. Though, I'm not sure that would go over very well on, for example, nightmare mode.

I know Hawkette+man Hawke skirt the Mary Sue/Gary Stu line, but these are Bioware PC characters, they're essentially super hero self-inserts. So given that Bioware provides us with a vehicle of Mary Sue proportions, why does this prompter find it necessary for this obvious insert of wish fulfilment?

And yes, kinkmeme is scary, so is this thread, it's why I love hanging out in both places.

Yeah, the protagonist will always be close to the line, if s/he doesn't cross it completely. It's kind of expected. What is not expected is when a non-protagonist OC (original character as opposed to canon character) dips into Sue territory.

Lately I've been having these dreams where I just go over everything that's crossed my mind during the day EXCEPT Anders (who makes like 60% of what I think about lately), I even had a dream conversation with my boyfriend in which I passioantely explained why the kirkwall mages were screwed either way by the end of Act 3 and how there was no place for change and I asked him what he'd do and he said something like: "There needs to be an extreme and shocking act of war to shake everyone off their apathy" and I was like YES MWHAHAHA and then woke up and realised the conversation never happened and rl my boyfriend doesn't even dislike Anders (yet) he thinks he's meh. MEH??? Anders is ot MEH!!! =(
