My obsession with saying "Maker's Breath!", "To the Void with this" and "Andraste's knickerweasels!" is bad enough

I did it for the RP and exploring. I'm not a raider, which is probably why I was able to quit. I realized, hey, I don't have to play 15 bucks a month to RP in what was essentially a glorfied chatroom to me.

The colours still call to me. I like colours and light and motion and finding things and arrgaghagh.

Ugh, my ex got me into WoW. The endless evenings spend raiding . . . *sigh* Then I ran out of money and haven't renewed my subscription in years. I am free!

Edit: Also, this now explains why I always wanted to equip the purple items. Oh dear!

Tried WoW for, what, 20 minutes? The graphics annoyed the **** out of me so I never had a chance to develop addiction.
Guild Wars and Warhammer Online on the other hand... I cannot resist Warhammer orks.

Haha, I went to WoW from FFXI... the cartoony style took some getting used to, but it aged very well over the years and it can look absolutely gorgeous on the highest settings.

That's why I don't see that song as Varric's theme at all. Anywayz, he might love you enough to let you kill him but you say NAY!

I heard Guild Wars isn't very good for newbies. Is that true? I thought it looked pretty . . . Also, I like the not having to pay a subscription part.

I did Fallen Earth for awhile, because I like, you know, post apoc worlds and sniping and playing a guy named Graverobber that's a necrophiliac and socially inept, but I don't play enough nor make enough to justify the monthly fees.

I'll play Old Republic when it comes out. Because Lucas and Bioware can always coax money out of my clawed hands.

Guild Wars is great because you don't need to grind to be good, you just need to be skilled and to know what you're doing.

I had a ton of fun with both the PvE and the PvP back in the day. Good times. It was a total time sink though, that's why I never played another MMO afterwards.

Depends how you wanna play. GW is very nice for people who only want the occasional party, since you get henchies and your own personal dungeons to crawl in. Admittedly it's been years since I did anything guild-y with GW and nowadays when I play I mostly solo, so not sure of the current social situation.

Edit: And yeah, Old Republic... "Hello salary, was nice to know you for a while. Now you move to BioWare's purse. Goodbye."
