Bunders is creepy yet awesome. I don't think, however, that my Hawke would let him come into the house like that. It might confuse the dog.

Oh my boyfriend is evil.

He told me that in one of the Fallout: New Vegas missions you find a guy called Anders... and he's crucified by slavers. He thought it might interest me to know. *sad face*

I said it's appropriate considering how many people totally want to crucify (and do, in an abstract sense) Anders on this thread forum. (I should type slower)

There's another Anders in New Vegas too.  He's an NCR Ranger who was sent to assassinate Motor Runner - the leader of the Fiends - and ends up being wounded and holed up in a room inside a Vault.

Crucified Anders was crucified because he was dealing drugs, and Caesar's Legion isn't really a fan of that.

Random, but a few people mentioned default male Hawke's face texture. If you're on PC, there's a mod that allows you to edit that. It actually changes the face texture so it doesn't stay even if you try to change it. It feels kind of weird to change him, but for those interested:
http://www.dragonage...ile.php?id=2587

I really hope our next DA protagonist has room to be a bit older. We're stuck at around 25 years old max for Hawke, which is disappointing given some of the nice textures on the older faces, and the beards. All my guy Hawkes want to come out as slightly-beat up, rugged 35- to 45-year-olds, which feels so wrong next to Gamlen and Leandra.
And even though we could make the Warden look older, NPCs still referred to them as young and good-looking. I want a protagonist of either gender that I can unabashedly play as the right age to be experienced at kicking ass, and to have an interestingly... varied background. Hell, have a slider not just for complexion, but for age, so NPCs will react accordingly.

tl;dr: grown-ups are sexy.

People are still ****ing about Anders plotholes.
Like....are you SERIOUS? It's not a big deal.
And they're like, "Wahhhh ME3 better not be this bad wahhhh!"
ME is a completely different series and remains consistent. Honestly, when I killed Leliana and she showed up in DA2, I was just like, "Oh hai there".
I didn't spit fire and punch my TV screen.
Ugh. Anders in DA2 is a completely different character. GET.OVER.IT.

In other news.
I came back to 11 pages I refuse to catch up on. Any pictures to share? :D

Yami, I know we asked to marry you the other night, but can we marry both of you now, pretty please? ^_^

We'd marry the thread, but it sometimes makes us cry and sleep on the sofa.

I like how it's suddenly the end of the world because Bioware decides to go in a certain direction with their own friggin story.

Oh and characters are never allowed to evolve and change. EVER. THEY MUST ALWAYS REMAIN STATIC AND NEVER EXPERIENCE ANY SORT OF GROWTH. Even if they go through a literal life altering event pre-game that is explained to your face.

Haha. I'm trying to talk him into posting more, but I think he feels guilty about his first post being in the Anders thread, instead of the Merrill thread or something. Clearly everyone is weak to the charms of the Anders thread.

Hehe you can tell it's some big ass holiday time because of
how slowly the thread moves.

I was just talking to my 13 year old sister and wondered how
to introduce the whole dragon age concept to a kid who doesnt play games. So I
started explaining about how I'm obsessed with a game in which i role play as a
character and do quests and she went: Oh kind of like Wow? And I was like,
well, Wow is a mmorpg what I play is more like... and she went: like Dragon
Age? And my jaw hit the floor. Turns out she tried Origins a while ago and
loved it, but didn't know there was a second game. And didn't know you could
have ROMANCES in it, as soon as I mentioned that she was like "So who did
you romance in DA2, can I see him?"

And I'm sure you will not be surprised to hear I
speed-played the whole game for her - mainly skipping from Anders moment to
Anders moment and we just saw the Chantry jenga and my sister looked all
serious and angry. And when it was over she went: "Oh but you won't like
KILL him will you?? He was just doing what he thought was right! He had good
intentions!"

I have never been more proud!!!! =.) It's so sweet that
she's so young and innocent she can actually draw better conclusions than some
grownups, sometimes. Because she is too young to know much (and care) about rl
terrorism she didn't connect what Anders did with it at all. AND she was aware
the whole time that the game world is not the same as ours.

Also she laughed so hard when Anders rejected us the first
time. When we went "I am a big girl I can make my own decisions" she
literally couldn't stop laughing for ages

Sorry for the long rant - needed to share ^^ And here's a
picture that might have been posted already - I need some happy Anders in my
life. This little moment with my sister will help when my boyfriend knifes
Anders and spits on his corpse :crying::crying::crying:

That is the cutest thing ever!

I wish my 13 yo sister liked DA. But sadly her gamer senses aren't very evolved yet, she's still in the DS phase.

Your sister is amazing!
I miss childhood innocence.

My little sister is far more cynical... and a little crazy.

Anders blows up the Chantry.
Her: Woah... Why couldn't he do that earlier!? Blow up the whole damn city!!!
Me: :?

The conclusion; Never let 8 year olds watch you play DA2.

Mine didn't really get into the Justin Bieber, or Twilight for that matter. She's actually pretty mature for her age, just not much in terms of games :P
