I don't really think it's possible to upset anyone in the Anders thread. We all love eachother here. :3

Everyone has their own idea of which Hawke goes with Anders, which is excellent.

As I said, I've no issues with people who enjoy and love F!Hawke/Anders, it's just not for me. The same goes for people who understand M!Hawke/Anders, but it's not their thing.

But I mean really, there's enough Anders for everyone, right?

I didn't mean it in any disrespect at all. I just can't read it, which was all I was trying to say. I'm sure there are plenty of people who feel the same way about M!Hawke/Anders, after all.

But as I said, we all love Anders regardless of the pairing. :3

On default names: in Fenris thread someone noted how Marian and Garrett correspond to Mary and Gary Stu. I thought it was pretty clever and I'm now thinking it's intentional on Bioware's part.

Squicky is disrespectful in my book? And, even if people think M!Hawke/Anders is gross, no one has outright said it (that I'm aware of). Had they, I (and most of this thread, I imagine) would have been all over them.

Strange, that was also my own view on Ander's fate. If anybody would go and suceed in killing him, it would be my mage Warden-Commander.
I have this weird idea that my Warden-Commander has been involved in all events that lead up to Anders fusing with Justice. - Maybe because she is a mage herself, maybe because after all the chaos and confusion that calmed down after the blight, the Chantry wanted to make sure a mage Warden-Commander wouldn't run amok, so they sent templars as recruits. Maybe my Warden-Commander agreed, because ultimately she had given up the fight against the opression and thought there was nothing to hide, so why turn down potential Grey Wardens?
Maybe she personally sensed a change in Anders. Maybe she was the one sending him and the templar-recruits on a mission. Maybe she knew of his decision.
Maybe she let him go and just watched and waited.
Maybe she miscalculated the situation and came to late.

I'd like to think that for a while she would let it rest, cover up for him, lie to the Chantry. - But ultimately she would go after him, chase him down, probably kill him.


Of course I also like the idea that Anders will be succumbed by Vengeance one day, go on another killing spree, kill Hawke in the process and then proceeds to kill himself. Or he gets killed by Hawke.

Or that there will be an unspectacular ending by a simple arrow through the chest by a good templar-archer. 

But my favourite one would be a "reunion" with the Warden-Commander.

I think it's because I always ended with the "Wardens being like a family" ending for Anders. It's like the Warden and co were the first home and family he'd had since being taken to the circle, and it was the Warden who gave him that.

Also, the Warden is indirectly partialy responsible for the Justice incident (as is Nate), so the Warden does it, if necessary.

Also, a mage-warden may do so to protect the rest of their kind.

Also, the awesomeness of the Warden is second only to Commander Shepard, who is the Chuck Norris of the gaming world.

Having Anders kill Hawke would be epic for angst though.

What about Nathanial/Anders, or Sigrun/Anders or Nathianl/Anders/Sigrun or Anders/Bethany then with pairings?

I'm of opinion this is inevitable in the ending if you get Anders to side with the templars. One day he will be unable to control Vengeance, and he will take over and kill Hawke.

I did an Amell DAO run last week who romanced Alistair, and I totally agree. Anders has broken me for Dragon Age romances. I loved the Alistair romance and now it just feels so...lame, by comparison. He's lovely, he's sweet, he's caring, he's...boring. And i guess in a way he's perfect for my passive, voiceless, blank-stared, doe-eyed Wardens.



Also, I don't know if this ever came up for the playlist or not, but I'm totally feeling Wicked Game by Chris Isaak as an Andersmance song.

I aplogise then for my choice of wording. I was just trying to say that I'd like to read the mentioned fics because I hear excellent things about them, but can't seem to do it and gave me reasoning for it.

Perhaps squick was too harsh a word for what I was trying to say, and as I said, I apologise for that.
