The descriptions on the mage stuff about Malcomn and Leandra made me squee a little.

Ah, forbidden love. <3

I know... so did I, but for a moment there I actually thought it was talking about Hawke and Anders XD

All things considered, it might as well be. :3

I also approve of non-magey mage robes.

Have some creeper Anders for top.

Also, is it just me, or does the "mage pack" come with a V mask...

To be honest, I've never really understood the immense hate for Alistair during the Landsmeet. Granted, I never romanced the guy, but my Wardens were almost always bbf's with him, and my canon play-through is one where my Warden recruited Loghain and stuck Alistair and Anora on the throne to joint rule.

Alistair's reaction to me was very... real. Let's face it, there are some things you just can't 'talk' people out of. In Alistair's case, he was far too hysterical to see 'reason' during the Landsmeet, but he does comes around eventually. Albeit, too late to make an impact on the Blight, but it's hard to gauge how long it 'should' take someone to get over the deaths of his brothers and sisters in arms.

At least in my end game, Alistair apologized for breaking down. Don't remember his exact words, but he pretty much admitted that he was having 'issues' and that he still wanted to be friends, if at all possible.

PS:  ANDERS ANDERS ANDERS.

Not even remotely related to Anders, but DA2 DLC.

What do people think?

Did BioWare just ask me to pay for random loot?

*Sighs and opens wallet*

I better be funding Anders DLC.

Indeed. Or a decent expansion pack.

Not to be cynical, but so long as people shower them with money for item pack crap the chances of actually decent, worthwhile dlc showing up plummets astronomically.

You most likely can't; but i'd say dynamic duo of Vendetta and Vengeance is even better.

Well, I do like the items so I don't really feel like I wasted my money. Well maybe on the warrior pack since I can't play a warrior.

I don't normally do song recs, but I just recently discovered Adele and Set Fire to the Rain TOTALLY made me think of Anders.

Then again, almost everything makes me think of Anders these days.

Oh gods, why, why did people have to put this thought in my head.

Bad! Bad places!

In other news, Creeper!Anders approves of apostate gear.

Truly? That's good.
I never hated Alistair for the Landsmeet, because I know that in his shoes I'd throw a hissy fit, too.

To be honest, I recruited Loghain a grand total of once, and with Alistair in the state he was in, it would have been OOC for Sa'eria (Mahariel) to allow him to become king, even alongside Anora.

Of course, she'd never become Alistair's mistress, either, since the Dalish are painfully prideful.

And my fem!Tabris... well... was a murdering psycho.
I actually had a daydream once which lead me to the conclusion that Kendra was the inspiration for the Chantry "accident."

Everybody: You cant leave Amaranthine to burn!
Kendra: There is no comprimise over this. I made up my mind.
Everybody: But-
Amaranthine: BOOM
K: See? There is no city, no source of comprimise. I removed it, because there is no comprimise with me. Now let's go kill things!!! :D
Nate: F%@#(*)!?!
Justice: Disapproves -9999999999999999999999999999999999999999....99901
Anders: ...I wanna go back to the circle now.

My issue is that he didn't even bother to convince me.  He just threw everything at my head, and then left with a big "I DISAPPROVE" sign. Not cool. As a friend - it's okay - as something more... hmm, no, let's not do that.

It's not "hate", it's just "being a bit annoyed, if not completly pissed-off".

So...making a new character for this stuff because I'm weird like that...does anyone else like OCD over their Hawke to the point of insanity? I spend more time in front of that darn mirror than playing the game O_o

*Raises hand*

My current playthrough (with my canon Hawke) is near the end of Act II, but I have a sudden urge to restart it again now.

Mind you I was very proud of myself on this playthrough. I only used the mirror once to change Hawke's hair between Acts (as I always do, to show growth, or whatever. I LIKE HAIRSTYLES).

*snerks*

I spent like, over 30 minutes on my first non default Hawke, but I'm actually like that for a lot of games that lets you make your own character. For Rift, I actually spen over an hour and a half for one toon because the game kept friggin crashing on me JUST as I was about to hit the create character button.

Also Tash, sooo glad to finally see your Hawke, was wondering what he looked like after I read your fic

Firmly in the "if you don't OCD over your character's looks, then what's the point" camp.

It's the only feature of the Black Emporium thing that i've used, too.

Soo, what with all the recent talk of Anders' mental state, and now the awesome fanfic recommendations I feel perfectly justified (hah!) in a bit of shameless self promotion:

Descent

Set post game. Also, ambiguous Hawke is ambiguous, for those who aren't fans of a particular sex/class. I'll put it up on ff.net in a mo too.

Hmm, I am undecided about this new DLC. Perhaps if I had endless pots of money . . .
Crossed fingers for a decent expansion!

LOL, my friendmance mage was toward the end of act 2...but when I get new stuff I have a strong urge to start over. But yeah, glad I'm not the only one that does the constant mirror thing lolll.

But I'm never happy. Her jaw will irk me, or her makeup, or her chin...nose...etc. I always find something, and it gets REAL bad during Anders romance scene because the firelight does horrible things to my Hawke apparantly. So I always save right before and go tweak her first.
Yes, I'm REALLY weird. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/andy.png[/smilie]

Ugh, don't even get me started on Rift characters. When I was playing the Closed Betas I spent most of the time thourougly testing their character creator, repeatedly.

Then when launch hit I server jumped multutimes to save names on the various RP servers and create my characters again... just in case. :P

Scylas... In  PINK! here. Better shot. He sometimes looks odds at certain angles, and it drove me insane on my first playthrough.

Finally I realized it was just lightning and camera angles, but I spent hours trying to fix it.

I like him. :3

Just be happy you don't have easy way to alter their body shape (if you don't)

LOL I spent fifteen of those 30 minutes obsessively turning my Hawke this way and that so that way I wouldn't get those SURPRISE! angles that happens so often. At the same time I was worried about giving him too much of a baby face, but I decided baby face was more preferable to having weird bony features.

And not gonna lie, I tried making an Anders and a Garett on Rift.

Ugh, truth. I eventually just gave up. Either it was strange angles, or freaky plastic-surgery cheekbones that made me want to cry. I just couldn't win.

Mind you, I had a far easier time using the blank preset and being able to avoid those angles. That said, the blank preset just doesn't have those sexy Iconic!Hawke eyes/eyebrows that I love so much.

:crying:

I never thought about trying to recreate Anders in another game... but I suddenly have an urge too. *Laughs evily*
