hehe, i love that part!

i still feel like a complete jerk for conscripting him into the Wardens... atleast he seemed happy about it at the time.

The templars made it clear he was going to be executed, so it was a matter of die now, or thirty odd years later.

I'm ashamed, but it is the first time I see this...I couldn't resist to recruit Anders the first time I saw him in Awakening.

"I'm really bad at the whole 'fugitive from justice' thing"

....Indeed you are.

I wonder how many dialogues were actually foreshadowing, and how many we are noticing just know but at that time they really weren't thinking about it.

I couldn't NOT recruit him...I always root/play for the underdogs..kinda how I always play Surana's because of the Double Threat she is.

Ander's had me now and forever at  "Uh, ..I didn't do it"

BTW I have NWN2 installed, I couldn't find 1, but I have all the expansions with this game as well...just tell me...is it better to go in blind first time or would I benefit more from a walkthrough in game experience?

Edit* Hurr Durr

probably a nice mix of all the above. Foreshadowing with some happily coincidental dialog.  Though if it all really was written in on purpose, i would have a new level of respect for the writers (who i already love alot ^_^).

i was hoping i'd have one last chance after the templars left to have my warden look the other way while anders made a break for it  ^_^ (that was her plan when she conscripted him anyways). The programmers seemed to think otherwise :/

Weren't they already writing DA2 when DA:O came out? Or did I read that wrong?

I can't imagine David Gaider not having a plan. I know I can't write any of my original stuff without working out what would happen to my characters once the story is over. Although I could be projecting!

i heard that too. so stuff like Justice's and Nate's conversation about possessing a willing host and justice trying to get anders to fight for all mages were definitely planned.

It was all painfully planned out.
The writers love to make us suffer like Anders loves that sodding cat.

Ser-Pounce should totally join the Wardens officially.

Hell. Ser-Pounce-a-lot for a joinable companion in DA3!!!

oh, on the awakening/anders/justice note, i'm back to thinking it was Anders' idea to merge with justice. his first codex in act one says: "...Anders offered to merge with the spirit in the name of mage freedom...".

so hopefully my warden's conversations did not turn Justice into a demon looking to posses a mage.

Yup, the look on his face when he was shaking his hands already had me. "I didn't do it" had me laughing and I was done for.

Sometimes I wonder if we are naturally attracted, not specifically as LI I mean, to characters that have some sort of humor or funny attitudes in Dragon Age, because the game is just so depressing. To be honest, I think everyone loves Varric because in that grim and sad story he was one of the few that  lightened a bit the atmosphere (aside the fact that he was the only sane person).
When I met Zevran in the cameo too, in Act3 I was starting to feel desperate...then Zev appeared and somehow it made it better...for those ten minutes at least >.>

i was thinking about making the feathered pauldrons and coat, but now that i know the power of the pauldrons, i'm not sure they are meant to exist in this realm.

You may be on to something there.
But you just know that Varric has some uber depressing reason for Bianca. Like it was the name of the woman who taught him how to use a crossbow and then she died in some horrific way, so now he can never love another . . . *ahem*
Ah Dragon Age, where the people with the happiest ending are Wade and Herren.

But, but, I just want to look at him and his pretty eyes, and nose, and hair, and face in general. And the feathered pauldrons. And the boots. And all the rest of his skinny apostate self. Goddamnit Anders! :pinched:

swap out Shale for Wynne and i'd be all for it!

I always got a kick out of the idea of Alistair and Anders hanging out. Awakening Anders was a similar to Alistair, but i get the feeling they would hate eachother! <3

But if you don't have wynne, how are you supposed to listen to the long, indepth discussion of Wynne's magical bosom morality? :o

7) Shale

Awakening! Anders would gang up with Zev and Oghren to pester Alistair about being so bloody innocent about sex!

DA2... not sure.

The one he likes to twirl a lot?

I think this bears repeating here;

Hawke: Y'know Anders, you twirl your staff a lot.
Anders: *splutter* What!?
Hawke: Your staff, in battle, you sort of wield it with a flourish. What did you think I meant?
Anders: Oh nothing. Just a friend back in Amaranthine used to call me 'Staff Twirler'. Thought it was funny. Why, is it distracting?
Hawke: Oh, no Anders. You can twirl your staff around me as
much as you like.
Pause
Anders: Maker, you're evil.

Edit: Oh f*** you formatting!

Awakening!Anders and Zev conversation potential makes me smile! And poor Alistair, i'm sure my warden help him out with that a little.
