Nerd moment, ahoy.

So, I brought Anders along when my Hawke was summoned to help Meredith, right? While Anders and Meredith had their little argument, all I could think of was this:

Megamind (Meredith): Over here, old friend! In case you've noticed, you've fallen right into my trap!
Metro Man (Anders): You can't trap justice! It's an idea, a BELIEF!
Megamind (Meredith): Even the most heartfelt belief can get corroded over time!
Metro Man (Anders): Justice is a non-corrosive metal!
Megamind (Meredith): But metals can be melted, by the heat of revanche!
Metro Man (Anders): It's REVENGE, and it's best served cold!
Megamind (Meredith): But it can be easily reheated, in the microwave of evil!
Metro Man (Anders): Well, I think your warranty's about to expire!
Megamind (Meredith): Maybe I got an extended warranty!
Metro Man (Anders): Warranties are invalid, if used beyond their intended purpose!
Roxanne Ritchi (Hawke): Girls, girls, you're both pretty! Can I go home now?

Thank you for making me feel... not alone in my assumptions.
I remember playing through Awakening and going, "...You're a Magister. Yeah. You are totally a Magister."
And I always spare the Architect too- he's much too fascinating to kill. And while I've done a lot of morally suspect things while Grey Warden-ing, I can't bring myself to doom a species that's just starting to get its feet under itself (in terms of consciousness and ethics).

Hmmm I don't know. If you compare the mask the Architect wears with the one that Ketojan wears they're very similar. I get the feeling the Architect micht be an Ogre Emissary (Darkspawn version of Saarebas)

Wardens should be given kisses, kittens, roses, earrings and Antivan massages wherever they go!

My first ever D&D character was a paladin, back in, oooh, 82/3ish.  Never got that far with her, because of the girls don't play rpgs mentality where I grew up <_<, but yeah, I can still remember her.

mine got corrupted by lolth. i don't really know how; i left when he died. but somehow i had an evil pally mwahahaa!! made it much more fun... i have since decided that sarcastic characters are just that more fun and playable for me. makes hawke snarky *stays on topic*  ANDERS!

Ah, well, it'd help if I'd been able to find clips of some of his quotes.
But yes. Casavir's VA also plays Katz, in the Courage the Cowardly Dog series. Using the exact same intonations, even.
So yeah. Your paladin boyfriend is also a creepy serial killer who was modeled after Norman Bates.

Depends.  From a role play view of things a seasoned player can make a paladin the most interesting character in the group.  People who just read the players and only go cookie cutter staus, then yes they are boring as can be.

At first I favoured wood elven rangers...

Then I discovered the drow and the warlock class... and all was deranged good

i was lucky too; i met a group from my uni who wanted to play. i had no idea what it was, but i was signing up for things left right and centre. and it stuck. *sighs of contentment*

Anders would start of a sorcerer/cleric (healing) and then throw in a little Warlock with the whole deal with the spirit of Justice thing.
